Comic Boll is a game that’ll instantly remind you of Sonic.

It’s a game where you need to race through the levels as a small ball that has the ability to beat up enemies, yet rolls around through the levels like Sonic. It’s like if Sonic were a beat ’em up game, but Comic Boll goes further because it combines gameplay elements from games like Astro Boy Omega Factor from the GBA era. It’s hard to explain. Just play it.

The developer says the game is a remake a previous title called Bolinha, which was made back in 2006 based on some previous comic work.

So, as you roll around, there are a ton of enemies to fight and you’ll have to be careful as you roll around because the game is pretty tough. You have limited HP and you can roll, punch, combo, and even dodge bullets in real time. there are also plenty of special items that give you buffs. If you’ve played any retro platformer (that was go0d), Cosmic Boll plays similarly. The work in this game shows.

Comic Boll is a unique game with its cheery visuals and gameplay that makes you feel like you’re playing something from the N64 days. Try out this happy little platformer.

Dragon Crisis is an arcade shoot-em-up that’s like a modern version of Snake with tons more action.

You play as a dragon made out of parts and metal and you have the ability to power up yourself with extra turrets lite read all over your body. You roam an asteroid field in space and you need to fight the baddies with pixelated projectiles and using the help of upgraded turrets on your body. Destroying bad guys gives you glowing orbs that can be used to buy more turrets and upgrade yourself for the next wave.

You have a limited amount of turrets you can place and there a few different ones so you need to choose accordingly. Some are better suited for different situations and some are much more powerful than others. You’ll have to use your best judgment and figure out the pros/cons of each turret in order to maximize your firepower so you can take down enemies.

The game also has a system where if one of your pieces gets destroyed, you can still pick up the litter in the surrounding area to collect them. It’s a twist on the classic puzzle game that’s worth playing if you’re into arcade games.

The Lost Cave of the Ozarks is a puzzle platforming adventure game that’ll draw you in with its gorgeous artwork.

The game is currently in a Kickstarter campaign but already has a sweet demo available for play. The game combines puzzles, platforming, and lots of secrets for you to uncover throughout the game’s beautiful hand-painted worlds. It takes a lot of traditional platforming elements and mixes them with some modern ones for a new and refreshing take on the genre.

For instance, there are classic chase scenes as there are in any good platformer. But you don’t just run for it in this game. You have a stamina meter which you need to constantly watch out for. You need to balance it out if you don’t want to get caught. This is something I haven’t seen in a platformer game since the old-school days of first-gen consoles.

The game is based on different narratives that are all intertwined with each other. It’s set in the 1880s all the way to today, so time is a factor in the storyline. You control multiple characters throughout each time narrative that cover a different time period. The game offers 3 different characters in their own narrative for you to play through.

It’s inspired by real events and locations that have occurred in history. The stories are also based on actual events in history. It’ll immerse you in with its atmospheric 2D platformer world that brings about exploration, puzzle-solving, and super action sequences.

The game is also narrated and has a kickass soundtrack that evolves with the storyline. It’s a unique platformer that offers a lot of stuff combined into one game. The storyline is actually good enough make you want to play, and each characters’ stories seem like they’ll offer an interesting take into history.

There are also multiple story endings as well. The game does an excellent job of giving you total immersion into the game with the fantastic soundtrack and stunning visuals.

You play as a character called “The Boy” and the game revolves around you completing rooms from the past and then seeing the same segment in the present as Libedon- the tour guide of The Lost Cave.

The current demo offers just about 10 minutes of gameplay and shows off the game’s amazing hand-drawn artwork.

The gameplay is actually very fluid and well done. The game has a heavy influence by games where you need to solve puzzles constantly in order to progress through the platforming rather than once in a while. There are a few checkpoints on each level and also some awesome stamina management areas. The game is very creative and brings back that Nintendo feel of platforming that anyone can appreciate.

Come for the artwork. Stay for the platforming. The game will invite you into its lush, detailed world. It plays as a sidescroller as you solve simple to moderate puzzles in order to activate platforms, unlock secrets, and outrun hazard. Rawal Rumble is a beat ’em up game where you need to take on the streets in retro sidescrolling style!

If you’re a fan of legends like Double Dragon and Final Fight back in the 90s cabinets, you’ll like Rawal Rumble.

You take on the city with either single player or with a friend in local co-op mode, just like the classics. You have an assortment of combat moves (arcade style), tons of weapons to wreck some carnage, and lots of baddies to beat up! It’s a hit and smash and bash classic throwback!

The game has a deep sense of humor all over the place. You need to take down the cyber-police who kidnapped your girlfriend and stop the chaos. You play as a Catalan soldier who’s been retired and now sells food on the side of the street. But that doesn’t mean you lost your badassery.

Rawal is an urban city where the government has tried to take over the people by using some crazy experiments. The cyber-police reigns Rawal and scours the streets with heavy traffic to watch the citizens. It’s up to you to stop them.

The game plays just like the favorites you grew up with. You move to the right and just take out all the swarms of enemies that show up. Use attacks, weapons, and special equips to take them down. It’s a lot more fun if you have a friend to join you locally (no online play), but even with single player it’s still a blast to play.

There’s even a bunch of combos you can do by pressing a succession of keys. That’s pretty awesome. You can find the whole list on the game page linked below and check it out. These moves are flashy and look awesome when you pull them off. And they’re powerful too.

It’s still in early access, so it only has a single full level and also a survival mode where you try to get the best score possible. You play in a huge subway and you need to take down the baddies using your martial arts and weapons you find along the way. Then you face the boss of the subway which is trigger-happy with throwing bombs at your face.

Rawal Rumble isn’t a difficult game and you’ll probably beat it on your second attempt. But it’s still very fun to play and recognize the humor in it. There are a lot of weapons and baddies to take down, and a lot of jokes scattered throughout the game. There are even some tribute items to the classics.

If you like these 90s beat ’em ups with nonstop action, give Rawal Rumble a dance. You’ll have a good time with retro artwork, sound, and classic button-mashing action. Try it out.

Sword and Staff is a class hack and slash adventure with a twist.

First off, players who dig the 8-bit graphics will like this game. You play as a hero who needs to simply hack and slash his way through dungeons. The game features randomly generated dungeons so it’s never the same experience. You’ll be able to explore countless dungeons that offer a new dungeon-crawling experience every time.

There’s also an overworld that’s randomly generated as well. The game is never the same and you’re always exploring. It’s like if the original Zelda had endless dungeons. It’s really a concept that’s underappreciated.

Another unique feature to this game is the ability to craft, enchant, and upgrade hundreds of weapons. They’re unique and hardly copy/paste. Okay, this isn’t a unique feature, but it’s also not very well done in many games.

You’ll be dungeon crawling, exploring, and collecting rare artifacts throughout the game. Ther are also epic boss battles and a final artifact to collect.

Sword and Staff is an awesome retro indie doungeon cralwer that deserves recogniztion here on Peach’s Castle.

Hoover is a platformer indie game where you need to outrun a rising water level by using a vacuum cleaner.

If that’s not weird enough, add in some quirky features (like self-propelling) and a lot of difficulties. Then you have yourself a crazy platformer.

Your vacuum cleaner is carried by you, a chubby and stubby little penguin that’s immobile. You use the vacuum to propel yourself like a rocket ship through the level. It needs to recharge, so you refill it with air.But that’s not all. You can also suck in fish and enemies as well.

But that’s not all. You can also suck in fish and enemies as well.

When you expel the air, you can launch yourself as well as trigger events on the level. You can shift platforms, shift projectiles, and attack enemies with pure air. How cool is that?

Hoover is a difficult game. It’s hard to maneuver yourself around the world as it is. But there’s a timer. It’s slowly filling up with water, which means you’ll be moving upwards. It’s like a vertical platformer.

You need to climb onto different platforms like wood, ice, and rock. They each have their own abilities:

• Rock platforms are pretty much the neutral platform
• Ice platforms can be broken with your head
• Wood platforms are mobile when you stand on them and use your vacuum

You can also snag powerups to upgrade your vacuum or replenish your health bar. You’ll need them so grab them as soon as you see them. The game is hard.

Once you get good at Hoover, you’ll notice that it’s a game that takes skill to play.
