Loop is an action-based, fast-paced game built for the CGA Jam.

You play a yellow-orange circle in a looping level that changes slightly each loop. The goal is to just get the best score possible.

You’re falling downwards like as if gravity were on steroids and you need to dodge platforms, enemies, spikes, gems, and other obstacles. Each one requires a different approach and you need to think fast. For example, enemies need to be smacked. Gems can be snatched for points. Platforms and spikes should be avoided (obviously).

Another feature is that the level changes. The walls have either green or red coloring, which signify that they’ve faded and are no longer part of the playzone. They’ll appear and shift to change the level layout each loop.

The game does get difficult, but you get three hits before it’s game over. And your hits recharge slowly. If you make it to the bottom of the level,  loop it again. Each loop increases in speed and it plays like an arcade game.

Loop is an awesome little game with cool visuals and a unique gameplay style. It makes for a nice Let’s Play episode or you can play it just for some cheap thrills. If you have quick reflexes, put it to the test with loop.

Controls:

The only controls used are the arrow keys for movement. Use Left and Right Arrow to maneuver your orb around the screen.
