Last Epoch is an awesome dungeon-crawler with realistic graphics that are stunning to look at.

It’s like Diablo with modern graphics and all the action packed into a hack and slash dark fantasy world. You’re in the world of Eterra, which was lost to “The Void” a long, long time ago. You’re the hero and your job is to bring Eterra back from the grasp of the dark powers.

Last Epoch pits you against tons of undead minions, monsters, and creatures in this hack and slash action RPG that’ll have you nostalgic for Diablo or Baldur’s Gate.

Currently, you can play the game in its alpha demo. It’s still very very early in development, but you can get a good feel for how the game will play and the combat system (which I expect to change a lot over time). It has some pitfalls and isn’t completely polished, but it already has a solid foundation.

You can play a decent amount of the game which includes a piece of the campaign, a few boss fights, and even an arena mode. If you’ve played Diablo before, you’ll fit right in. You basically navigate through a dungeon, fight monsters, get loot, and level yourself up. You can also choose between two classes in the demo right now. The game combines tons of character customization, replayability, and even time travel.

The best part about Last Epoch is probably the game’s graphics. It looks surreal- everything from your weapons to the monsters to each individual grain of dirt. If the whole game gets this level of polish, it’ll easily be one of the best-looking RPGs ever made. The visuals are super high-quality.

I read that the game will feature both single-player and online multiplayer as well as a full story mode campaign and tons of content for endgame players. It’s basically a modern MMORPG with a Diablo-like feel and the promise of lots of content like quests, gear, raids, and even randomized dungeons for a unique run every time.

It’ll also have ten classes to choose from with extensive skill trees, play styles, roles, and combat mechanics like the Paladin, Sorcerer, Bladedancer, Beastmaster, Warlock, Void Knight, Spellblade, Marksman, Druid, and Necromancer. This is an upcoming MMORPG you need to keep your eyes on. Loot is even randomized as well.

Last Epoch is an awesome action RPG with impressive graphics, a huge dark fantasy world to explore, lots of content promised, and unique dungeons for each crawl session! When the game finally rolls out, it just may be the next big MMO. It focuses on old-school RPG mechanics with updated graphics and systems.

OverDrive X is an awesome hack and slash adventure game powered by the UE4 engine.

It’s a Rambo-style game where all you need (or want) to do is chop up some enemies and watch the gore fly. The game takes place in a futuristic cyberpunk environment where foreign tech from the future is visibly seen in the setting, enemies, and even weapons.

If you’ve played games like Devil May Cry, you’ll already be familiar with the style. Aliens have been discovered on other planets like Mars and they’ve effectively created a new race dubbed “The Evolved.”

The game in its current state isn’t really a game but more of a prototype. So far, there’s not much story to it other than what you just read and that you’re some hero trying to stop the aliens from experimenting on more people by traveling through multiple planets and throughout space itself.

However, so far the combat system looks very impressive. It’s really just action-packed arcade-style nonstop button mashing and swinging your weapons to do awesome attacks that look extremely flashy on screen.

The game’s combat has enemies that spawn over a large city with lots of baddies to chop up. You can pull off amazing moves, combos, and slice and dice your enemies into gore clouds. There’s even an ability for you to transform into some monster.

I assume this is the “overdrive” mode in the title.

Either way, the demo is still very early in dev, so it’ll be a while before the game rolls out into a beta. It’s still a combat system to be on the lookout for. You can play the demo of it just to try i out. Being on the UE4 framework makes the game super realistic and fun to play.

OverDrive X is a game I’ll be watching. Stay tuned for updates. This is one action-packed cyberpunk title that does the combat right.

Tiger Knight is a hack and slash nonstop action game that’ll remind you of legendary classics like Mount and Blade.

It’s a tribute to old-school games and focuses on having tons of enemies on screen at once as you fight your way through the crowds and complete the objectives. It takes place in ancient China (200 BC) and pits you and your army against other generals in large-scale battles.

Tiger Knight didn’t just release, but it was recently acquired by another publisher so the game is under new control at this point.

If you’ve played Dynasty Warriors, you’ll know exactly how the game works. It’s super fun to just dive into a crowd Rambo-style and just slice everyone up like a hero. It’s a Steam Greenlight game that brings some action to the genre.

You’ll choose one of three historic armies which were once prominent in China during the Three Kindom timeframe. The game isn’t historically accurate completely, but there are references with the environments, battle names, general names, and even weapons used during that time. But you’re not playing it to take a history class- the game offers nonstop action that’s just so satisfying. It does aim to be as accurate as possible though. It even uses real-life weapons to recreate the sound effects.

Each army has its pros and cons and a variety of troops like archers, infantry, cavalry, and more. The game utilizes Unreal 3 tech and PhysX as well.

You get to pick from a variety of game modes. For starters, there’s Command Mode. This is the basic mode with 10-14 players command 1 adjutant and up to 40 soldiers with Conquest and Siege modes. Then there’s Duel Mode, which pits you against up to 16 enemy generals with 15 allies on your side (so it’s 16v16 general battles). And then there’s Epic War which has you and other players working together as a team to defeat the computer AI in a variety of historic battles. They’re all awesome and offer a ton of fun.

You’ll have basic missions to complete on each level. The game has decent AI, but they’re not really that advanced. But that’s not the point. You’re here to jump in and wipe them out and get that satisfaction. Though this may not appeal to all players, it sure is satisfying to do so!

There’s also a sense of strategy once you really get into the game. Your location and attack points matter. The wars are absolutely huge and will require a decent computer to run them smoothly.

There’s also a ton of unlockables like new equips and such.

Dynasty Warriors was good, but there was no online interaction. Tiger Knight combines that gameplay with actual players commanding the armies or generals. You’d think this would’ve rolled out a while ago, but now you have it.

Try out Tiger Knight if you like hack and slash. You’ll mainly be playing online with other players anyway- so the AI isn’t really an issue unless you plan to only play the campaign. The battles do get pretty epic so be ready. Grab your huge spear, mount your horse, and lead your army to victory in China!

Wild Buster: Heroes of Titan is a top-down hack and slash arcade MMORPG.

The game is like an old-school version of Gauntlet with updated graphics. You play online with a team of different characters with the ability to use special attacks. The game focuses on teamplay as you take down hordes of enemies in a futuristic environment.

You choose from over 12 heroes to choose from based on 2 different rivaling factions (Guardians and Abandon). You pick your hero, pick your faction, get paired with a team, and then it’s showtime.

Take out your weapon and get ready to take down the Broken!

Wild Buster shines with over-the-top weaponry that adds lots of eye-candy and special effects. It’s extremely satisfying to use a flame sword and slam the ground to take out a half-dozen baddies at the same time. The game has lots of these dramatic effects when you use your special abilities.

other than grunts, you have to take on epic bosses in PvE missions. The game is fast-paced with plenty of constant hack and slash action. Your reflexes, skill, team coordination, timing, and abilities are all a factor to beat the level. The game isn’t terribly difficult, but it’s not a walk in the park either.

You can use a variety of heroes with different weapons- guns, swords, flamethrowers, and special attacks. You can also dodge and roll to avoid enemy attacks as well. The game throws a lot at you and you need to think fast and move faster!

Each hero has a distinct playstyle. You can try them out and see which one suits you. Choose from an Engineer, Tamer, Dual-Blade Assassin, Sniper, and more. They even have a level system as well. Your team comp is important- you need a tank, range, melee, and support. You can also choose from professionals like blacksmithing, enchanting, mining, fishing, and more.

Everything from range to melee is included and each hero is unique in abilities and weapons. The skills can be combined with devasting effects, and each hero has 2 ultimate skills to choose from. Skills are also customizable with weapons to enhance their attack and even add special effects. You can even pick up gear and loot to build your hero to your liking.

As you level up, you gain special bonuses to your hero. There’s even a guild and achievement system like you’d expect from an MMORPG. You can even get pets and mounts, find groups, and participate in the auction house.

Choose from over 500 quests and daily missions with friends and fight in over 20 dungeons. There are currently 4 raid instances with epic boss battles and 4 defense maps where you just defend against hordes of the Broken.

And if that’s enough, there’ seven a PVP mode for 5v5 battles in 4 different zones. And an FFA mode as well.

Wild Buster: Heroes of Titan is one the freshest MMOs we’ve seen in a while. It’s a hack and slash top-down dungeon crawler with RPG elements. Check it out. It’s coming out sometime this month and will be available for download. The game is currently in beta.
