Inch by Inch has you playing the role of a mad scientist who’s accidentally consumed a potion that makes him shrink- inch by inch!

As you’re shrinking smaller and smaller, you scramble around the typical laboratory looking for the antidote to stop this madness. If you get too small, you won’t be able to work the machinery in order to survive. It’s truly a race against time!

The game starts out with some brief dialog and then quickly puts you into the action. You start scrambling around looking for the mission components you need- this is in the form of ingredients and formulas needed to produce the three main parts of the antidote. You need to get all three parts before it’s too late.

There are three main things you need to look for in order to form the three key components of the solution: the formula, a corresponding machine, and an ingredient. You find a formula and match it with a machine, which then produces ingredients that are used for other formulas or that are one of the three key parts you need.

When you get all three ingredients, you place them into the antidote machine to create the potion you need to de-shrink yourself!

What’s interesting about the game is that every time you play, everything is randomly generated so it’s never the same formula twice. You can’t just play it once and rush through it a second time- it’s a unique experience every time.

When you get smaller, you’ll also have to use the equipment around the lab and stack them on top of each other in order to reach taller equipment (that you could previously reach). This is an awesome feature that’s just genius.

The game is pretty difficult the first time around. You’ll probably panic looking for what to do. Here’s a hint: get the machines running first then look for the other stuff.
