Seedlings is an awesome, relaxing puzzle platformer sidescroller.

You control a small seedling (hence the name) and you’re trying to guide through the game’s multiple levels of puzzles and platforms. You can only roll yourself left and right through the sidescroller, but you can possess other small twigs which then can allow yourself to jump and climb and even launch yourself through the air like a slingshot from Angry Birds itself! It’s like you have no abilities of yourself unless you use various vehicles in the game.

So far, you can just play as a few different vehicles, but later on, there should be more added. It’s currently in a very early demo build so only takes a few minutes to play through. If you’re going to play it, try it for the awesome artwork. It looks almost like you’re actually in nature and feels extremely relaxing- just look at the screenshots depicting it for yourself!

Redum of Sun is an archery open-world FPS where you use a bow and arrow to defeat enemies.

It’s a low-poly indie game (as a lot of them are) and your goal is to reclaim your lost land using your just your celestial bow and special powers. You play the role of a hunter-warrior who needs to kill the enemies that have taken over your precious land. You’re a lone hunter armed with just a bow and divine abilities. It’s pretty much like any other hero game.

Redum of Sun draws plays very similarly to classics like Wolfenstein and Doom. The game has you exploring the world and killing all the invaders with your bow and abilities. There are a ton of enemies you need to kill. They spawn around these energy beacons and clump together. So whenever you see a beacon, you know there’s going to be a fight. The game kinda plays like the Serious Sam series. It’s really fun to blast at all the enemies mindlessly and just nuke ’em all.

Your bow is your main weapon of choice and your only weapon. But it can be upgraded by collecting these energy crystals from baddies you kill. The upgraded arrows get modifiers that can do some real damage. You can also find these crystal crates littered around the map that also give you upgrades.

The only problem with Redum of Sun is that it’s extremely difficult. The game is still in a prototype phase so it’ll probably get fixed. The game requires a lot of traveling with no action and there are a few balance issues. But when you do get into a fight, the bow and arrow archery is on-par and the game is just a blast to play. The world is huge and you get the feeling that you’re actually lost in the wilderness. The low-poly graphic style suits the game well and gives you the immersion feeling that you crave.

There are a lot of archery indie games, or archery games in general. Redum of Sun is a unique game in of itself.

Spike: Under the Leaves is an experience of nature. It’s like a nature simulator indie game with an objective.

The game takes place with you observing porcupines adventuring through a dense forest where they get attacked by a bird. You’re one of those porcupines.

You split up from the rest and the point of the game is pretty much just trying to get back with your family. Later on, you notice the same bird coming for you again. You have to take cover using the environment, such as using trees, piles of leaves, or even using your spines on your back to poke through leaves and camouflage yourself.

That’s pretty much it. The bird is your main enemy and you need to keep hiding from it using a variety of techniques. You have to be quick and agile and think fast using your environment as your safety cover. That’s Spike: Under the Leaves in a nutshell.

The bird is quick and circles around you often. You need to be on the lookout for it constantly. This game is a unique indie game that you don’t see quite often. It’s pretty fun, relaxed, and very calming to play. The sounds, music, and graphics are all very well done and provides a nice experience when you just want to play a relaxing indie game. The game is based on timing, agility, and your ability to think fast.

Spike: Under the Leaves is a beautiful experience that’s very fun to play. Just don’t get eaten by the bird and play the game. It’s a nature simulator where you’re in control. Porcupines rule.
