If you like Battle Royale games, you’ll probably like SOS: The Ultimate Escape.

It’s a twist on the popular genre where you’re on an island with other players and you need to make it out alive. There are 16 people on the island that need to duke it out to escape. You must outsmart and outplay all of them to win it.

But…

There’s a twist.

A big twist.

The island is filled with monsters. The helicopter only has 3 seats. You and 2 others will need to work together (or not) to get out.

SOS: The Ultimate Escape is a survival horror game where you’ll need to enter the island to collect a hidden relic, then escape via chopper.

You can choose to team with others or go it alone. You can deceive. You can hide. You can lie. It’s all up to you. Building a team will require trust and a steady alliance. If you have the personality to act online, go for it. It’ll come in handy.

The game looks to be a promising survival game with a very good twist. The horror twist along with the 3 escapees keeps this game unique from other similar games in the genre. It’s a fresh take on an old concept. (Well, it’s pretty old now since a lot of games are doing the same thing and washing it out.)

The Alpinist is an immersive game. You scale a huge mountain and explore caves, cliffs, and other nature scenes. It’s almost like a nature walk simulator.

You play as a woman who decided to climb a mountain with all the equipment you need to scale it. You have flares for dark areas, you have grappling hooks to get across gaping holes and gaps. You have picks, tools, and other utensils that allow you to get across all the dangerous terrains the mountain has to offer.

There’s a stamina meter which you need to keep your eyes on, as your character will get tired of climbing. There’s also an annoying eagle which will bug you during your climb. Those are the two main things you need to look out for.

Besides that, The Alpinist is a very immersive and atmospheric indie game. it’s a relaxing climb to the top with its own music and amazing artwork.

It’s a calming and relaxing game that’ll have you super calm and chill.

Insatiable is a third-person shooter with a bullet hell design and combat system.

You have a top-down view and you make your way through different levels to try and end a war between humans and aliens. You’re in control. It’s all up to you.

The gameplay of Insatiable is a combination of both third-person action and bullet hell combat. The game switches between them constantly to keep things fresh. Although the transition between the camera can be too quick, you’ll get used to it because you’ll have to. The combat can get extremely crazy. The camera switch means it’s time to blast some baddies.

You explore. You shoot. You blast baddies with your arsenal of weapons. It’s awesome.

The graphics are what help Insatiable stand out from all the other twin stick shooters. The visuals are very nice to look at and the game is combat crazy. You currently have a choice between dual pistols and shotgun and you can use abilities such as Timetwister and Shadow Dash. You can combine your abilities with your weapons and mix it up for awesome gameplay. The graphics compliment the game and make it awesome. You feel like you’re playing an arcade game like Nuclear Throne, but at the time, you’re using abilities that are out of this world.

Insatiable looks promising and is a blast to play. Check it out.

Queen of the Versparians is a point and click indie game where you take on the role of an alien bear looking for honey.

Yup, you read that right. Does it get any more random with today’s games? It seems like this is the trend for today’s games, anyway. I doubt that’s going to change.

Bears eat honey, and that’s the what you need to get. You need to collect enough honey for an entire bear family. You check the forest, but there aren’t enough honeycombs. So what do you do? You go to the deep, deep forest. That’s right.

What do you find there? A huge honeycomb hive. It’s huge. It’s big enough for you to actually waltz inside.

You discover a few tricks that make it very difficult to go back to your home. This is where the gameplay kicks in. You’ll have to solve a few puzzles and escape to get back.

It’s a humorous adventure game with an escape theme. The artwork is gorgeous, and the game is clever and witty enough.

America’s Army: Proving Grounds is coming out for beta sign up for PS4.

It’s an FPS based on tactics and small squads where you must depend on each other to succeed.

The America’s Army series is well-known on PC, but now is expanding to consoles. It’s not a run-and-gun shooter like the Call of Duty series, and it’s not as huge in multiplayer as Battlefield. America’s Army is right in the middle. It’s a small squad-based game where teamwork is key.

AA has a touch of realism based the US Army. You have weapons that are based on actual weapons. You have squads and other branding that’s all authentic to the actual American Army.

Proving Grounds will be based on your teammates and you must work together to win. You’ll have to communicate with your squadmates and actually talk (which may be an issue for console players). Likely, you’ll get into a group with friends so you can work together. If you’re looking for an authentic tactical FPS game, try America’s Army: Proving Grounds.

The Temple of ADVENTURE is a parody of the Stanely Parable.

It’s basically a game where the witty narrator will lead you into thinking you’re about to experience the best game ever made.

With lines stating that Temple of ADVENTURE will be full of danger, treasure, adventure, Unreal 4 graphics, and an epic journey to save your girlfriend, you’ll be amped up to play it.

But the problem is that you have to make it through all the menus, splash screens, cutscenes, and other junk that gamers often experience before they can play an awesome game. It’s an over exaggeration of it.

As you try to make your way through all of this, issues arise. I can’t tell you without spoiling the game. You’ll have to see these witty and clever scenarios for yourself.

Temple of ADVENTURE is a quick story with awesome narration and voice acting. It’s just like the Stanley Parable in terms of punch, so if you liked that game, you’ll need to try this out. There’s a ton of fourth-wall references and the like. It’s perfect for a Let’s Play episode or just for cheap thrills.

Similar to NIGHTSTAR: Rogue Wings, Stellar Codex is another game that’s very similar to Star Fox.

It’s a 2D/3D shooter with an arcade touch- mixed with on-rails combat. It’s like Star Fox in many ways. You could see Stellar Codex as a very inspired game by Star Fox, but then again, there are no annoying squadmates buzzing around bugging you for help or pestering you with things you already know. You fly solo.

Your character is dubbed Jack Knight. You’re the leader of the Elite SABER Squadron. You discover aliens on that stem from the Stellar Codex. You need to lead your squadmates over there (but take on missions solo, since you’re badass like that) and battle species in a variety of hazardous environments like asteroids, spaceships, debris, and even stars.

The game is moderately paced with arcade-style graphics that are just mesmerizing. The camera is mainly in third-person, with an occasional top-down view like an arcade space shooter. You’re on rains for most of the game in a hectic battlefield with twists here and there. The top-down sections are fun and there are side-scrolling sections too. While the Stellar Codex offers a nice rounded style of gameplay, it is pretty much said that the 3D parts are the best. I mean, you’re gunning through space blasting enemies with multiple weapons and dodging obstacles in a fast-paced shooter. What’s more to say? Just play it already and see it for yourself.

Your target can be aimed independently of your ship as well. You have free aim.

Even in alpha, the game looks very polished and has very few issues. It’s a blast to play. The only problems that I can point out are that the game can be too difficult at a few chokepoints. If you like Star Fox, you’ll need to play this game.
