Dungeons of Tal’Doria is an awesome dungeon crawler that you can play with friends!

It’s a co-op sandbox exploration game that plays like old-school Diablo. You pick a class (Knight, Archer, or Mage) and explore a randomly-generated dungeon full of archer skeletons, evil wizards, and even some epic bosses!

The game features an infinite world so it’s never the same game. Think Minecraft. The game uses the same blocky voxel-style graphics with the same concept of world generation. It’s endless exploration. You can traverse through unique biomes each filled with numerous enemies and take them down with your weapon of choice. There’s loot to collect, pets to train, and skills to learn and level up! It’s like if Diablo and Minecraft had a baby together and it was born into a blocky world.

You can do everything from crafting items, learning special professions, and even take a break and go fishing to relax!

The current build of Dungeons of Tal’Doria limits you to small biomes and a level cap of 6. Later builds will have a skill system and multiplayer as well- which is probably the best part of the game.

Exploring the game, slaying monsters, and getting epic loot is okay by yourself. But with a group of friends. It’s even better (well, maybe except for the looting part).

Struckd is a 3D game builder that lets you create your own worlds to play in with friends.

It’s pretty much a sandbox that lets you build a 3D world. You can build, play, and share with your friends by choosing a preset game pack. You can build anything from racing to tower defense to puzzlers to action games. Or you can even build a completely customized game that lets you set your own rules. It’s kind of like if Minecraft had a level creator that was easy to use- complete with scripting and prebuilt templates.

The game is beautifully rendered in 3D with those infamous Unity graphics. There are already tons of awesome games created by others and the game just launched. You can play recreations of popular games or minigames.

After you create it, you can play it with your friends or strangers over the ‘net. Think Mario Maker, Roblox, or Garry’s Mod. These games are super popular because of the mob power that community games provide the players.

The UI is very easy to use and intuitive. You drag and drop different elements onto a grid and built it however you want. If you’re looking to play other creation made by players, you can browse thousands of user-created content to play and comment on.

Struckd is a community-driven game kind of like Minecraft’s mods. There are tons of games, guides, and players to interact with. It’s surprising that this builder didn’t get more traction, but it’s becoming more and more popular now.

Stormworks: Build and Rescue is an awesome physics-based indie game where you have the freedom to build and ride any vehicle you can imagine.

The game has a goal though. It’s kinda like Goat Simulator or Garry’s Mod. You’re in ownership of a coastguard station that builds all kinds of vehicles and you need to save people. You can build airplanes, boats, and land transport, so you have all three bases covered.

What’s the point of these vehicles? And why are you building them?

You need to them to take on different scenarios that occur in the ocean. You have to construct a vehicle that can handle stormy weather and other nasties that take place on the ocean. The type of vehicle you build completely changes how you play the game.

For example, each vehicle you build has its own buoyancy and handling rating. Even stability is a factor. If you build something that doesn’t float, it’ll sink. If you build something that can’t handle, you’ll drift like crazy. If you build something that’s not stable, it’ll sink. How you build your transport vehicle directly affects your mission success rate percentage. You’ll need to find a balance between all three factors so you can beat each scenario. And they’re pretty difficult at that.

After you’re done building your vehicle of choice, it’s time to take it out for a spin. You’ll then need to pilot it out into the danger of the ocean. You have rescue missions in many different environments. You have people to save in the sea, ocean, islands, oil rigs, and even more. Piloting is pretty difficult too. You need to build a vehicle that hands very well in order to successfully complete the challenge.

The game also has a variety of weather patterns. This includes rain, storms, winds, waves, and even tsunamis. Stormworks: Build and Rescue even has a full day and night cycle. The weather changes dynamically and is pretty unpredictable. So it’s best to build something that’ll handle any weather scenario if possible. Or perhaps suited for that specific challenge.

It’s a pretty difficult game. Sure, it’s a sandbox physics game. A lot of these types of games are just to mess around in with no real difficulty or objective to compete.

However, this game takes the genre to a new level. It actually takes advantage of the psychic engine and combines objective-based gameplay with it. Now you can mess around with a purpose.

Stormworks: Build and Rescue utilizes a low-poly resolution like many sandbox games. It’s being developed by Sunfire and published by Green Man Gaming Studios. It looks like a very big and promising game.

Gravity Box is a sandbox game where you need to utilize the power of gravity to do stuff.

It’s a minimalistic indie game where you use gravity to do stuff like shape the solar system. You create a bunch of planets and then you use gravity to experiment with them. That’s Gravity Box in a nutshell.

You can do things like seeing how plants will react in different scenarios. You can adjust the speed of the solar simulation, see how they react to different gravity when you adjust it, and even create solar systems beyond your wildest imaginations.

Gravity Box lets you create pretty much any solar system and see how it’ll function. You can import and export your saves and you can even show your friends what you’ve created.

The sandbox style of gameplay has the potential to go viral with all the different things you can do.

Valnir Rok is a sandbox RPG with a Viking theme.

You take on the role of a survivor on an unknown island after your ship has capsized. It’s very similar to ARK: Survival Evolved in a way.

You’ll need to collect resources, craft, build, fight, and get supplies as you build a civilization of one. The game is pretty hostile with lots of enemies that’ll engage you. You’ll need to fight enemies based on Norse mythology. We’re talking beasts, trolls, and wyverns.

You can fight other players and clans as well. However, you have the ability to form your own clan and alliance. You can also explore, trade, fight, get a job, raid, and even build a settlement camp for yourself or a whole village. It’s a real sandbox RPG.

The graphics are amazing and the game looks very promising so far.

dot big bang is a browser-based game that reminds me of Roblox.

Players can build and design their own voxel-based words and games. You can build anything from puzzles, dungeons, parkour maps, minigames, and even recreations of popular games (from other games).

Currently, the game offers only a slice of what’s to be coming. You can create your own avatar and build your world. You can also visit others’ creations and explore them as well. The characters and environments are all voxel-based, so it’s easy to create objects and characters. The level editor is very easy to use and looks like an old version of MS Paint. You simply click, drag, and drop objects and you can upload them for others to use. You can also download new objects created by other players. Everything in this game is pretty intuitive so far. It’s very easy to use and looks promising for an early access indie game.

Right now, the majority of player creations are all either minigames or 3D parkour maps.

Later on, there are plans for features that allow quick-access slots, complex animations for objects, and custom coding for JavaScript.

B.C.E (yes, it’s spelled like that) is a physics-based multiplayer combat game.

It incorporates a top-down view and you basically attack other players in a physics sandbox that feels like you’re playing QWOP.

The funny part about B.C.E is that you’re a caveman and you can only use weapons in the stone age…like rocks. So you’ll be chugging rocks at your fellow cavemen in a physics arena. It’s full of hilarity and makes for a fun game.

You can play it locally or online with up to 3 other players. The objective of the game isn’t to kill all the other cavemen, but rather to put their campfire out. The combat is pretty awkward, but it’s very fun to play. There’s a lot of ragdoll effects as you can imagine. You can unlock new stuff like skins to customize your looks.

B.C.E’s graphics take on a low-poly resolution like many other games are doing nowadays (Wiseguys by Facepunch Studios, for example). The game looks glorious and plays well with these graphics.

The weapons range from rocks, clubs, axes, spears, and of course, punching. The game is pretty violent too, but the physics engine and ragdoll effects make it very entertaining to play.

Before is a low-poly prehistoric survival game developed by a team at Facepunch Studios.

They’re also making a few other gems like Wiseguys (and have made Garry’s Mod, Rust, and a few more).

Before is an amazing game with awesome visuals. You play as a human and you need to explore different landscapes and wildlife. You explore, hunt, get resources, build settlements, and interact with others. It’s pretty much your standard survival sim with a fresh twist on the graphics.

It’s been in development for a while but now it’s available for beta.

Wiseguys is a sandbox multiplayer FPS based in a busy city environment.

You can drive, shoot, deal drugs, join a gang, and kill other players. It’s like GTA in a different dimension.

Wiseguys is being designed by some developers that have experience in this sort of thing- such as team members from Garry’s Mod and Rust. Both games were hits. Facepunch Studios has an excellent track record and Wiseguys will be created by a small team from them.

The FPS combat is what makes this sandbox game interesting. It’s hard to describe, but it’s like playing Garry’s Mod mixed with GTA all in first-person only. It’s an open-world game with crime simulation, but at the same time, it’s nothing serious. It’s a funny and relaxed game in a way. The characters are comedic and the graphics are very inviting. It’s hard to imagine that this game would be played seriously (but that’s a good thing).

Wiseguys is still in early access beta, but the game already looks very promising. Plans have been made where players can create gangs, control territory, sell and make drugs, ransack others, go to jail, get arrested, and pretty much everything you’d expect from a crime game.
