En Garde! is an awesome swashbuckling adventure game that has you playing as a swordswoman who needs to take out guards and find out who’s behind it.

The game is a third-person adventure that has you jumping all over the place as and slashing up guards in real-time combat. Think Assassin’s Creed in a different universe. You need to use your rapier and kill the guards who are attacking your village and find their leader.

The game currently has one giant level with a few guards running around. You can fight them in sword fights, and you can also use the environment to help you out by knocking down chandeliers or bookcases. Every object is interactive in some way. It’s a prototype with a story-driven take and combines adventure with sword fights!

En Garde! is still pretty new, but the game is already very entertaining with the fluid controls and animations. You’re free to explore the huge level and swashbuckle it up. You can play for about 30 straight with nonstop action. Works with Xbox Controller, gamepad, or keyboard.

Sacre Bleu is a gorgeous 2.5D sidescrolling platformer.

The year is 1650. The place is Paris. You play as a musketeer with some sword fighting skills who’s been mistakenly caught up in a silly mishaps.

You need to find your way to the top of the Bastille fortress after your sweet escape from prison. After you reach the top, you’re then looking for revenge on those put you in jail (mistakenly, of course).

This leads you to travel across the lands and duel it out in famous places like Notre Dame.

The game is pretty challenging, but it’s a blast to play. You’ll get a sense of satisfaction as you swashbuckle it out with other swashbucklers.

At its core, it’s a platformer with some very precise jump timing. You’ll have to solve puzzles, dodge attacks, ride barrels, find the right path, time your jumps, and duel other enemies with your sword. It’s a fun little adventure that offers plenty of laughs and frustration at the same time.

Some parts pit you against multiple enemies and you’ll have to escape from them while getting chased.

The controls are decent and fluid without any awkward finger positioning and they’re responsive.

The artwork is like a mixture of SNES graphics with a cartoon look. It plays similar to games like The Lion King (SNES) and Prince of Persia.

Sacre Bleu is an awesome little platformer that’s worth a try.
