Midnight Shift is a game where you play as a security guard in a huge mannequin storage warehouse!

Just from that sentence, you should already get an idea of how terrifying this game is. If you’re afraid of mannequins in general, you’re in for a nightmare! (Like me.)

The game has you walking through the storage facility. Everything is going just fine and it’s just another day. But then at the end of your shift, weird stuff starts happening.

Without spoiling the game, let’s just say you’ll have to walk around (in the dark) and look for the keys to the exit armed with nothing but a small flashlight. Someone misplaced the keys so now you’ll have to seek them out. And it’s not going to be a cakewalk.

Midnight Shift features modern graphics created with the Unity engine (as many other popular indie horror titles have as well). The entire game is in first-person and all you have is a very dim flashlight. It doesn’t have a very far reach and you can only see a few feet in front of you and to the sides

The whole experience is very tense. It’s dark, messy, claustrophobic, and did I say dark? The game features wide hallways and narrow spaces with lots of random objects and lots and lots of mannequins. Everywhere. Even in the strangest places.

You’ll encounter some neat little effects that’ll scare your tail off. And yes, there are lots of jumpscares. But that’s all I’m saying.

If you’re into indie horror games, this is one that you need to check out. It’s probably one of the best indie horror games I’ve played this year. It’s super scary since I hate mannequins and seeing so many of them and the “things” they do make me stop playing this and hand it over to my colleague to finish it. The ending is okay, but the core of the game is the exploration.

Try out Midnight Shift if you want a good scare. It’s short and scary. Not too much of a commitment to play. It’s a very atmospheric and well-made horror game that’ll immerse you right into its world of “blank stares.”

Echo is an awesome little exploration game with beautiful graphics and storytelling.

Without spoiling the story (too much), you play as a bat named Echo.

You have to reunite with your color of other bats since you’re lost in a huge cave due to a collapse. Since you’re a bat, you get a sonar ability that lets you navigate through a few different environments. Each area has dangers and obstacles that block your way, so you need to proceed with caution.

The game isn’t difficult and it simply tells a story with amazing visuals. They’re like a 2D abstract form of presentation. The game plays like a sidescroller, but it tells a story at the same time.

If you’re in for a simple story with a gameplay element, try out Echo.

Okay, so this is one of those games that are too cute to resist playing.

Stuck in a Pig is a cute, childish, and charming game where you play the role of a tiny pig on a farm. You’re a pig on the outside, but you’re a bull on the inside. You feel like you don’t belong on this farm, along with your farm-mates and human caretakers. You feel like you need to travel.

The owners and other animals feel like you’re just screwing around. Your own ideas get you in major trouble. No pig should feel like a bull…right? No one on the plantation takes you seriously. This only furthers your need to escape. And that’s exactly what you do.

You make a great escape to find yourself. Discover yourself. But…

Your bull helmet was taken from you. You need to make a new one before you can escape.

Stuck in a Pig is just a simple novel with cute graphics. The art style is very nice and the characters are very wacky. Exploring the farm and interacting with all the NPCs makes the game a sit-down-and-relax type. You know…the type of game you play after a day at work with a drink. There’s a sense of humor to it and the game will make you smile.
