Fortnite Battle Royale has been officially released for Android owners.

Samsung Galaxy owners can sight up for beta and download the game and play right now. Before, it was only available on everything but Android. And now they can jump on in right after the beta test. Galaxy owners can jump on in and join the craze.

Only a select list of devices will work for the game, but all players will be able to cross-play between iOS and Android so mobile shouldn’t be an issue. PC and console players will also be able to play with mobile players, but that’s if you want to get smoked by a handheld controller or a deadly keyboard/mouse combo! Bluetooth controllers will also be supported by mobile.

This game needs no intro. It’s the most popular game on the planet right now.

So far, Samsung S7, S7 Edge, S8, S8 Plus, Note 8, S9, S9 Plus devices will be eligible for beta testing. Other devices will receive the game on August 12th (today) with wave enrollment!

Peace Keeper is an awesome first-person zombie shooter where you need to survive waves of zombie attacks just like CoD Zombies or Killing Floor.

Well, they’re actually not zombies but rather aliens invading the earth! You’re nothing but a lone soldier who’s fighting for survival from aliens in waves as they teleport into a facility. You’re trapped in this facility and you need to do your best in order to shoot them down using your powerful weapons as the incoming waves get more and more difficult. You start with just a pistol and you can upgrade to more powerful weapons as the game unlocks even more powerful weapons- and you’ll need all the firepower you can get for the difficult waves and the epic boss fight at the end.

The game combines reflexes, strategy, and positioning as they’re all important in order to survive the zombie waves. Peace Keeper features old-school artwork with some nice artwork like something out of DOOM. The game is very action-packed and fast-paced. You need to be fast, quick, and be able to pull that trigger quickly to take down those aliens.

Grimmwood is a social survival RPG that has you and up to 30 other players all trying to survive in a fixed location from zombies!

It’s a roguelike RPG that’s like Minecraft survival with 30 random players if it were a card game. You need to survive by gathering resources and crafting tools and weapons to help you defend your village against attackers at night. It’s a team effort with a shared village that gets infested with zombies every single cycle and it gets harder as time goes on. Crafting tools and fighting zombies is the daily life in this village situated in an ageless fantasy forest. It’s horror survival with others.

It’s like survival, exploration, and a roguelike game all into one game.

The area is a dark forest which you can explore during the day to gather resources and list points of interest, but then you need to hide at night in your village and defend it against monsters that attack.

You have energy, sanity, hunger, health, and thirst levels to keep track of. Up to 30 other players can also take residence in your village also. If you choose to play alone, you can do so, but playing with others to each chip in for resources will help you out. Working together allows you to fortify the village and help each other depending on personality types.

The game has asynchronous multiplayer with a real-time 24-hour cycle and allocated stamina points that you can choose each day. The game also has in-game chat for communications. Although playing against other players isn’t encouraged, it’s possible.

Grimmwood is available for Beta on Steam. Team up with other villages and defend the village and save it from the oncoming attacking zombies!

Hearth is a top-down survival game where you need to keep your fire going.

If it runs out, the game’s over.

It’ll instantly remind you of The Long Dark. You’re in the freezing winters and it’s snowing. You need to scour the land in search of wood, resources, and items in order to keep the fire burning. The catch is that you can also use the resources to craft weapons, light sources, or build other tools to help you work more efficiently. Everything is burnable, but everything also has a purpose.

You need to do some resource management and decide whether to burn it and keep the hearth going or utilize it and make it into something that’ll benefit you int he long run.

The world is filled with random things to collect and there are a few monsters here and there. The game is still in early dev, but it lays out a nice foundation.

Mechanic Miner is a sweet little 2D construction game.

If you like building and crafting crazy contraptions, automated robotics, and everything inbetween, you’ll definitely want to check this game out. It plays as a survival game but it focuses on building and constructing machines that are powered by steam.

The story is basic. You’re stranded on a new and foreign planet and you need to seek out shelter, resources, and other basic necessities to survive. The planet is inhabited by plants and animals, some of which are hostile. The planet has an alien life form that’s up to you to find out whether or not a species is hostile or peaceful.

All you’re equipped with is a multitool which you brought from home. This tool can craft machine parts that can be put together into bigger machines. It works by using the resources and raw materials found naturally on the planet. With this tool, you’re off to explore this myseterious world. And that’s where the fun kicks in.

With the multitool, you’ll find your way through the planet and start from nothing. You can build all types of steam-powered machines and vehicles. Vehicles are important for traversing the variety of biomes on the planet. Some areas are very dangerous and will require a more powerful vehicle to navigate.

The only way to get an upgraded vehicle is to use the right upgraded materials. Some special materials are only in specific areas, which means you’ll have to explore to harvest the rarer raw materials. So it’s pretty much centered around a tech tree system which requires you to explore in order to get better materials to get better parts to explore more areas.

The game isn’t too storyline-focused, but rather letting you be free to explore, build, craft, and harvest at your own pace. You make progress by collecting new steam-powered elements which are necessary to power your technology and upgrade it. You’ll eventually get to build more advanced machines which will then you dive deeper into new areas you couldn’t go before. There are tons of diverse biomes each with their own raw materials, inhabitants, and environment.

The only real “goal” of the game is to explore and work your way up the tech tree in order to “escape” the world once and for all.

Mechanic Miner lets you build any kind of machine you can imagine. It utilizes a full physics engine that allows you to simulate any machine rather than prebuilt ones that are programmed into the game. If you’re the analytical, creative, or imaginative type, this game will keep you glued to your screen for the next year.

You’ll be looking for ways to increase efficiency, upgrade technology, automate tasks, and build nonstop until you have the “perfect” setup. It’s one of those games that never end.

The game also lets you share your designs with the community and friends as well. And you can receive theirs vice versa to implement into your own world via blueprints.

If you’ve played games like Minecraft, Rimworld, or Terraria, it’s kind of the same concept.

Mechanic Miner looks awesome and has a nice art style. It’s a 2D side-scrolling game that features a uniquely pixelated adventure through many different biomes. You can walk the surface, explore underground caves, and even fly in the skies. You’ll encounter tons of enemies and some epic bosses like giant sandworms. Explore the world. Collect resources. Build contraptions. This game could be as big as Minecraft.

Robocraft Royale is another battle royale survival game- this time with giant mechs and modular destructible robotic warfare!

Instead of calling this a PUBG or Fortnite clone with a robot reskin, it’s got plenty of offer to help it stand out from the sea of survival clones out there.

For starters,  the artwork in this game is pretty unique. The landscapes, weapons, and mechs themselves all have gorgeous colors and animations. Everything from the trails of your projectiles to the jet propellers makes this look like something from the Gundam universe. Robocraft Royale takes up to 100 players in huge environments and battle to be the last man standing

The game takes traditional survival elements and puts its own mechy twist on them.

For instance, instead of going around for loot to upgrade your gear, you simply use vehicles that were built by players in the community. You start out in a crappy little vehicle but then you can commandeer many of the mechs around the map and “upgrade” your setup. They were created in a community group by the players and there are literally hundreds of them.

It takes place in a huge open world with 64 x 64km landscapes with cities, industrial sites, and even spaceships.

Robocraft Royale also takes the game mechanics to new heights- literally. You can pilot these mechs over the land and in the air- you can play survival in the skies as well!

The many vehicles range from land tanks the helicopters to AA buggies to huge jet-like airplanes. Everything you can imagine is here in many different shapes, sizes, and colors. And the best part is that each vehicle also offers pros and cons- some handle better and are more agile but weak, whereas others are huge and powerful but are easy targets. It’s one of those games that require a huge knowledge base in order to master it!

Robocraft Royale is currently available for alpha and is a one-of-a-kind game on the trendy survival Battle Royale genre. If you like these types of games and you’re looking for something new, you don’t want to miss out on this awesome title.

The Darwin Project is a third-person survival game that focuses on the last man standing style of gameplay.

Sure, there are a ton of new survival games rolling out. A lot of them are just Battlegrounds clones, but The Darwin Project ain’t one of them. Not even a bit.

Here’s why.

The Darwin Project takes place in dangerous snowy areas located in Canada. With the snow comes a huge twist to the gameplay style. For one, you’ll leave footsteps as you walk. Just this realism factor adds a whole new dimension and twist to the survival genre. The game also allows players to set player-activated traps and hunt each other down to be the last person alive in Battle Royale-style game.

The game has a “director” which is controlled by a player. This person can control certain events that happen in the game world and control the outcome of it as well. If the players in the battle map don’t adapt to the changing scenario, they’ll likely be killed off. The show director can do things like drop nukes, zone areas, and even use gravity to affect the gameplay.

It’s sort of like an awesome, yet sick, twisted reality TV show.

It’s advertised as a half science experiment and half live entertainment show. You can track enemy positions by the clues they leave behind in the environment as well as use traps and such to catch them. The environment is also freezing cold so you need to play carefully.

There’s also only a limit of 10 players per round on decently-sized maps. Each character has special perks, skills, and attributes that can affect the outcome of the game. The director can change the game arena in multiple ways that may make each of these perks better or worse.

The Darwin Project is also compatible with Mixer. If you’ve never heard of them, it’s another streaming service like Twitch. Viewers can also affect the game’s outcome as well, but it’s not certain how. Perhaps in the future, the game will be compatible with Twitch as well which may propel it to new heights due to the large viewerbase that Twitch has. It’s supposedly on the way. Regardless, this is something that makes this survival game stand out from the clones.

The dev team behind this game have also worked on games like CS:GO and Assassin’s Creed, so they have some experience. The Darwin Project is currently available for beta testing on Steam.

Fejd is an atmospheric open-world exploration survival game with a Viking theme stemming from Norse mythology.

We’ve seen a TON of survival games roll out in 2017, and this is the first one we’re covering in 2018. Thankfully, it’s pretty unique and stands out from the rest. It seems like the survival genre is “in” right now and is all the rage, so many devs are milking it for all its worth which results in generic survival games with a lukewarm taste.

Fejd is a breath of fresh air. It takes place in a mystic and wondrous atmospheric world with beautiful lighting, shining stars, shimmering water, and mesmerizing environments. The game is still early in development but it already looks super polished.

Like most other survival games, the goal is to survive. You’re alone and stranded in this huge world, and you need to gather resources to ensure your survival. Scavenge the immersive landscape for basic supplies to craft necessities like axes, hammers, and clubs. Use those tools to build more advanced items. The hammer lets you build even more items as it unlocks a bunch of essentials like a warm fireplace, a crafting bench, building structures, and even a terraforming option. It’s like being a caveman all over again.

But it’s not that easy.

Fejd has a bunch of mythic creatures from Norse mythology that roam and land and are always on the prowl. They’re hostile and nasty and can easily kill you if you’re not careful. Almost everything can kill you actually. You can get too cold, you can drown, and you can even have a giant timber run you over when you’re playing lumberjack. You need to be cautious- all the time.

If you get killed, you’ll drop all your items. The only persistent objects are saved are the structures you’ve built. But that’s it.

The game doesn’t make it easy to get all necessary resources you need.

Fejd also has plans for a P2P mode, like many other survival games. This will definitely expand the playerbase. The only other game that comes close to the level of detail is Ark: Survival Evolved with its dinosaurs and fantasy island. Fejd has another universe for you to explore.

Overall, Fejd is definitely a game worth playing whether or not you’re into survival games. Just being in the immersive and atmospheric world of Fejd with mythic Norse creatures is amazing. The landscaping is incredible, the UI is easy to use, and the visual artwork is just amazing.

Raft is a realistic survival game where you’re stuck on a small…raft…in the ocean and you need to fish out all your supplies from the depths!

The game plays similar to any other survival game- the only goal is to survive. You have hunger, health, and hydration just like Subnautica, Ark, and Rust. There’s no other goal than keeping yourself hydrated, satiated, and healthy.

Of course, many players find this kind of game very appealing and very entertaining. And for good reason.

Raft starts you out with just you and a floating platform made out of wooden planks, some rope, and a flagpole-like structure. You also get a giant hook tied to the rope which will be your primary means of getting supplies from the engulfing ocean. There’s literally no land in sight and you’re really stranded in the middle of nowhere.

So, you’ll use your trusty hook to go fishing for treasures (and trash) that floats by your drifting raft. You can gather loot such as thatch, wood, barrels, scraps, and plenty of materials to make items. The game has a crafting system that lets you build anything from axes, water purifiers, seeds, fishing rods, spears, ramps, chests, cooking stations, and even expand your raft with buildings. You get that loneliness feeling and it really does a good job of making you feel stranded.

It’s just you, the ocean, and of course, sharks.

That’s right. Sharks.

There are treacherous sharks that swim around hunting for their next meal (you) and they’ll literally lunge out of the water and try to take a bite of you. If it misses, it’ll get stuck on your driftwood, leaving you an opportunity to kill it and get some food.

But of course, you can build walls to block off sharks. And also build windows and extra flooring as well. Eventually, the raft turns into an almost a floating house. It can get very intricate and detailed.

The sharks will keep taking bites out of your adobe though- so be sure to watch out for them.

Raft has gorgeous graphics and sound for that immersion. The game was released a while ago, but it’s now making a comeback and ready for another playthrough.

You can sail the seas and survive with this ocean simulator survival game, and it’s completely free to play still so get in on it while you can. This is an opportunity for such a gem of a game.

MasterWatch is a survival game with a storyline. (That’s actually pretty rare.)

The story is that you blew up your spaceship accidentally and you’re stranded on an unknown planet. You need to find recipes that give you the blueprints to craft stuff like tools so you can build other stuff that are higher in the tech tree.

You can currently craft stuff like a pickaxe and sword.

The game is still relatively primitive given that’s in Early Access, but it’s nice to see developers making a twist to the survival genre. Rather than placing you in a stranded environment with no goal other than to survive, you have an objective.

MasterWatch is also pretty cool because you can discover a portal that allows you to warp to other planets to find necessary key items. This is the awesome part because each planet is a little different and has its own characteristics and items you can find on them.

The game features the Unity graphics you know and may despise, but they’re colorful and weirdly appealing. You have a hotkey bar and your basic inventory shown at all times. The best part of the game is exploring. The crafting is okay, but just seeing what the developer created is where the fun currently is.

You can currently explore a few planets and craft a few items.
