No Longer Home: Friary Road is an interactive narrative game where you simply listen to the conversation between two people sitting outside on chairs as they chat about life, worries, paths, plans, and everything else in between these topics.

It’s a story about Ao and Bo, the last two people left after a party and a barbeque outside. They’re sitting down and chatting about pretty much everything life has to offer in the life of university students. It’s literally like watching two people talking about anything and everything.

The game has a very well-written script and reading it feels just like it’s real life. They don’t talk like scripted robots but rather real people you’d listen to anywhere in daily life. It’s a realist point-and-click short that’ll take you on an adventure through a talk between friends. It’s a prequel to No Longer Home.

There’s no actual gameplay other than clicking on a few objects. The game is the experience of a well-written, refreshing, conversation between a guy and a girl at a party together. That’s it. And there’s no cheesy romance involved either.

Late for Love is a narrative dating sim game where you attempt to rekindle an old flame.

A friend of yours since you’ve known forever is getting married. You’re driving her to her wedding. It’s now or never.

The last time you two talked was a long time ago, you’re now chatting up as you drive her there. If you rush across town, you’ll make it on time, but you need to dodge cars and be careful when you drive. It’s a top-down sim with dialog boxes where you need to make the right choices depending on what you want to happen.

The game throws a few options at you as with any narrative dating sim. As you drive, you need to watch for other cars or else it’s game over. You need to answer her questions at the same time as you dodge cars by choosing the right option. There’s a meter that measures her feelings towards you, so you need to choose accordingly.

It’s a game that mixes two genres into one. It’s a driving sim and a dating sim at the same time. Without spoiling the story, you’ll have to play it for yourself to find out!

Delusion Gallery is an impressionistic horror indie game where you play as a character navigating through a museum and all you need to do is try to figure out the story.

The game uses a selection system that allows you to make choices in order to progress the story. It features multiple endings that are completely based on the path you take. Every decision could very well bring you down a different path to a different ending. It’s not the jumpscare kind of horror game, but rather the creepy kind where it’s so freakin’ weird and strange that it’s scary.

You’re exploring a strange wax museum but all the exhibits are faceless. There are two curators that live inside the art exhibit, but the weird part is that they don’t know each other. Your only objective is to explore the place and get some answers to your question.

Delusion Gallery features tons of decision-making paths. The game plays like a visual novel almost, but it’s far from it. You can’t even call it a linear game. Every time you play it will be unique until you’ve played it so many times that you’ve mastered it (and memorized the lines). It’s like a horror visual novel that gives you the choice to choose your own outcome (think Goosebumps).

Without spoiling the story, this is a work of art that you’ll need to check out. It features 9 different endings with over 20,000 words of dialog. You can’t just play this once and stop- you’ll be so interested that you’ll want to see all the endings (or at least the majority of them). The game is just so strange, yet compelling that you can’t stop clicking. It’s one of those things.

If you like horror books, you need to try out Delusion Gallery. The game beautifully rendered with almost monochrome colors and hand-drawn artwork. You can tell a lot of work went into this gem and it’s worth talking about.

The 25th Ward: The Silver Case is a remake of The 25th Ward. It’s an awesomely animated and stylish visual novel that only players in Japan could play.

Now, it’s available for the US as well.

The Silver Case is a basically a very stylish and flashy visual novel. It features movie-like special effects as it tells a tale in a district known as the 25th Ward. It’s a story that revolves around 3 different tales that are separated into 5 different episodes.

The game tales are Correctness, Placebo, and Match Maker. Correctness is about a couple of detectives that work to solve a few murders in the strangest ways. Placebo is the tale of a man named Tokio Morishima as he follows a mission to uncover weird happenings in the 25th Ward. And Match Maker is a tale of an officer who wanders into the 25th Ward.

All three tales are very flashy and stylistic. The gameplay is minimal, but the storyline is awesome. It’s worth playing if you like visual novels and such as the game goes all out in special effects.

The 25th Ward: The Silver Case takes the original game and basically does everything up a notch- other than the same style of storytelling (that’s unknown at this point). It’s more weird, strange, and flashier than ever. The narration is also awesome with different protagonists at the same time. It takes the original Suda51 (original creator) and follows the style with surreal effects and weird plot twists.
