Magical Monster Land (Early Access) – A Rage-Inducing Platformer Adventure That Pays Homage to Old-School Legends

Magical Monster Land is a platformer with retro graphics and beautiful pixel art.

It’s a very, very difficult platformer that requires a lot of precise jumps and incredible timing in order to progress. The game draws inspiration from legendary classics like Donkey Kong Country and Mario 3 with the graphical quality of Super Mario World. The game has a colorful, nostalgic world with tons of collectibles, enemies, and bosses.

You’ll have to travel through a bunch of levels that range from forests, dungeons, and even forgotten jungle temples. The game has no mercy and requires you to replay a level over and over until you get it right. If trial-and-error isn’t your thing, you’re in for a rage quit.

Besides the game looking stunning with its 16-bit artwork, it’s a platformer adventure with a lot ot offer. You’ll not only jump your way through levels, but you’ll also collect gems and other treasures as well as find secrets scattered throughout the world. The game also picks up rapidly in difficulty as you get to the end of the game. The enemies, platforming, and bosses get more difficult and you’ll start to rage.

Magical Monster Land offers a variety of cute-looking bosses. Actually, everything is cute in this game. The enemies, bosses, and even your character has a variety of expressions that make it look like Wonder Boy or Adventure Island.

The game will keep you busy for a while. There’s a lot to do in each level and pair that with a nice soundtrack and you’ll be glued to your screen.

If you’re a platformer fan, you owe it to yourself to play this game. It’s a tribute to the legendary classics of the NES/SNES era.
