Decoherence is a robot combat game that takes place in an arena.
It’s pretty much an effective combat arena simulator in a way with a huge twist- the robots duke it out and so do the humans that created them. It’s a 2v2 fight between the robots and the masters. That’s pretty cool and is very different from any other game in the combat sim genre.
You play as the mechanic who created the robot. You have a whole team of them built in a way to destroy the other team with your army. You program them with strategies built for destruction and logic. It’s not just a combat sim. You actually have to strategize and choose the right attack pattern against your enemy. Your team of robots can do a whole bunch of special attacks when combined. They can power up together and become even more powerful.
The game requires skill, strategy, and quick-thinking.
Decoherence plays with a top-down camera similar to an arcade game. You have one directional stick for navigation and the other for direction. It’s kinda like an arcade game, but at the same time, it’s a lot more realistic than one with the graphics and all.
It’s still in alpha and only the trailer is available as of now. You can sign up to test it out if you get a key using the link.
