Echonauts is a trippy space-themed adventure.
You play as an interplanar scout with only one goal: find stuff in the everchanging void in space.
You take on quests and walk around looking for a specific object. You have a buddy with you that follows you around. Your only job is to explore the trippy multidimensional plains. There’s no other rule to the game.
It’s not difficult nor challenging. It’s more just to be played for the adventure and exploration. That’s it.
But it’s a good experience. The game doesn’t use any boring dialogue or text (in fact, there is no text in the actual game other than the objective). Communication is done with weird symbols and signs.
You need to find three objects of interest. That’s all you need to do. It’s a weird, fun, trippy game.
You get three strengths of acoustic waves that you can emit to aid you on your quest.
Be careful though. The void is huge and easy to get lost in. It’s a quirky little game that makes for a fun “trip.” The void also changes as you travel through it.
Try out Echonauts. It runs in the browser so no download needed. It’s also compatible with an Xbox Controller if you prefer.
