IzoProject is an awesome top-down Gauntlet-style ARPG where you need to defend yourself against hordes of zombies.

It’s a game that you can play cooperatively with a friend as you team up to use skills and spells against waves of zombies. The game looks similar to Diablo but has a mix of Gauntlet fused into it.

You can choose a character class and then use their unique skillset and playstyle to fight against the zombs. You can pick from a Warrior, Archer, Wizard, and Generalist. Each has its own pros/cons. It’s fun to team up with a buddy and have a strong offense/defense when you combine classes.

The game has you playing in a monster maze but there’s a catch- you can’t escape. You need to survive the waves as long as possible in this dungeon roguelike. The goal is to get a high score, but the game is pretty cool because it’s nonstop action with each wave getting more difficult. It has plenty of loot to collect, skill cooldown, and fast-paced action!

ROTA is a neat little puzzle platformer game where you need to rotate the direction of gravity itself in order to get across a variety of setups.

It’s a very tricky game that you’ll probably not be accustomed to since it’s pretty unique. You can shift the direction of gravity by walking around the outside edge of a platform and then change the layout of the level. You can also push squares around that can also shift the direction of gravity.

The squares are an integral part of the game and making progress, as you can push them, punch them, and even double punch them. It’s very hard to explain, but just by moving these squares around changes the whole layout of the entire game! It has 1-Bit art and a nice hip-hop OST.

ROTA is available for early access. Try it out if you’re puzzle fanatic.

Dragon Crisis is an arcade shoot-em-up that’s like a modern version of Snake with tons more action.

You play as a dragon made out of parts and metal and you have the ability to power up yourself with extra turrets lite read all over your body. You roam an asteroid field in space and you need to fight the baddies with pixelated projectiles and using the help of upgraded turrets on your body. Destroying bad guys gives you glowing orbs that can be used to buy more turrets and upgrade yourself for the next wave.

You have a limited amount of turrets you can place and there a few different ones so you need to choose accordingly. Some are better suited for different situations and some are much more powerful than others. You’ll have to use your best judgment and figure out the pros/cons of each turret in order to maximize your firepower so you can take down enemies.

The game also has a system where if one of your pieces gets destroyed, you can still pick up the litter in the surrounding area to collect them. It’s a twist on the classic puzzle game that’s worth playing if you’re into arcade games.

BEAT THE ART BREAKER is like if Streets of Rage were in 3D.

You run around and beat people up. LIterally. That’s the goal.

It’s a very stylistic pixel art 3D game where you run around a huge urban city and beat people up for cash. It feels like all those arcade cabinets you grew up with if they took place in a 3D world. It’s actually pretty trippy to play because there aren’t many games like this that have the arcade feel to them.

There’s no real storyline or mission, but then again, it’s a work in progress so that could be added later on. In this early access version, you just play as a  guy going around and punching people. As you punch them, you get cash. They’ll attack you back and retailers as well, but you have a dodge maneuver to outplay them.

If you get hit, you take damage and you’re only allowed 5 hits before it’s game over. But most of the enemies are easy to take down. These baddies range from fantasy creatures to just plain ugly. You can kind of “combo” them if you hit the buttons fast enough. They’re also not that aggressive and you’ll be able to take them down pretty easily whereas others are a little more difficult.

If you want to be technical, it’s not 3D exactly, but rather 2.9D as stated by the developer. The same dev, owch, made another game called LONG LIVE THE AXE which has a similar action-packed gameplay style.

With the cash you get by killing them, you can use it to upgrade your stuff or possibly purchase new gear. The current build doesn’t allow you to buy anything yet so it’s still up in the air. However, you can find a few power-ups throughout the city such as running shoes that make you move faster. You can also collect some soundtracks to listen to while you rail on baddies to pixel glory bits.

The game has a nice concept and I’m looking forward to seeing another build. The artwork is very appealing and a whole storyline could be made from this foundation. It’d make an awesome GTA-style game or just a new perspective on the classic beat ‘em up genre. BEAT THE ART BREAKER is something special. As of now, the game is very limited, but that’s obvious as it’s stated by dev on the game page.

It sports nice controls, an urban city with tons of mobs, and a gorgeous pixel scheme.

HoverCab is like Crazy Taxi if it were 2D and a sidescroller.

It’s a game that takes place many years into the future with jet-powered yellow taxis hovering about (hence, HoverCab) delivering and picking up patrons all over a spaceport probably set on planet Mars. If you’ve played games like Crazy Taxi or Simpsons Road Rage, you already know the concept. You pick people up and drop them off at their marked destination and earn cash!

HoverCab is the same thing but on a much simpler scale. The game is rendered on a 2D plane with 3D objects- so 2.5D? You find random passengers scattered around the map and bring them to their location using a nav point green marker. You have a timer and each passenger you deliver takes up time. If you run out of time, the game’s over. It’s completely skill-based. You get a debriefing with tips after each mission to know where you can improve to be a better space taxi driver.

You’re a hovercab operator and you need to deliver passengers as quickly as possible. The game comes from the original concept of Spacetaxi, released in 1984 which was also a 2D space taxi game.

As you do this, you’ll rack up cash which you can use to buy upgrades for your cab and unlock new things as well. This is unique to HoverCab as you couldn’t do this in many other taxi sims. You also have to watch out for your gas meter and fuel up when necessary! It drains pretty quickly so be sure to keep an eye on it and estimate ahead of time whether or not you can make the next trip or risk your space taxi career! The cash upgrades and gas meter are two new dimensions to work with and adds a nice sense of challenge and urgency to the game.

The game is based on missions that you complete to move onto the next one. It’s sort of like a campaign mode at its bare minimum. Most of them have you picking up and delivering a set number of patrons before time runs out. Getting cash is important to buy gas and repairs for your taxi and is necessary for the harder missions. Each level has different missions you need to complete. There are four levels each with a unique environment and challenges.

Some levels can get really difficult not only because of the terrain structure, but rather the controls. You’ll need to master them in order to traverse some later levels for sure. They’re responsive but very precise.

The artwork is simple, yet detailed. It uses a mix of low-poly resolutions and some incredible textures. your can is in 3D as you watch it swirl and twist around in fluid motion like a fish in an ocean. It’s easy on the eyes and it works.

Rot: Purge is an arcade shooter that has you fighting out huge waves of zombies in a semi-apocalyptic world.

The game offers nonstop twin-stick arcade action as you blast tons and tons of zombies in a voxel-based world. The game has you playing as a badass policeman out on the job and all you need to do is Rambo your way through different areas of an infested city.

Rot:Purge is similar to pretty much any zombie-survival game- you just need to take down each wave without getting yourself killed. The game allows you to choose from two different modes. You can play the traditional wave mode or you can choose a new “hardpoint” mode that allows you to get extra experience inside designated areas.

If you’re outside these points, you get no experience. You need experience in order to level your character up.

The game offers some very appealing graphics with blocky everything. You can collect items that are upgradeable and even get loot drops that grant you awesome stuff like molotov cocktails to blow ’em up! There are even multiple characters and outfits you can wear.

One thing that makes this zombie survival game stand out from the rest is the destructible environments, which offers a strategic advantage. The twin stick arcade style also focuses less on camping and more on just Rambo-ing down waves of zombies. It’s just total voxel carnage all over.

The game is pretty fun to play, but doesn’t offer much in terms of difficulty. You’ll have a blast getting through all the waves of zombies but you don’t need to try too hard at all. The game is still very early in dev, so there are a few bugs and unpolished game mechanics.

You can currently choose from 2 guns and 4 different areas to explore. There are also a few different zombies each with their own weaknesses and strengths for you discover. And there’s unlockable gun as well.

The Rubber Robbery is an arcade top-down style game where you need to rob a store with crazy rubber bullets that bounce nonstop (even at yourself).

That’s right. You’re a burglar who decided to use rubber bullets in order to rob a store.

First, you rob the store. You need to aim and fire off rubber bullets to disarm ATM-like objects which will force them to unleash loads of cash. As the cash drops like water from Niagara Falls, you need to move in and collect your loot. You’re armed with a rubber-bulletized shotgun with unlimited ammo.

As they bounce around, your score will rack up like crazy. It’s actually very interesting to watch as you empty out a story simply by bouncing bullets at ATMs, laundry machines, trees, chips, and even vending machines. Oh, and let’s not forget a caution sign.

The problem is that your rubber bullets constantly bounce around the room nonstop. This game doesn’t have them kill you or harm you though. You’re invulnerable to them. You can grab the loot without taking any effect other than running slower with each hit. But that’s the thing. The more bullets bouncing around, the easier to get hit and slow down.

The game gives you just 30 seconds to loot. So shoot accordingly.

Next, you have the cash. You got what you wanted. What does a robber do next? Escape. (That’s what you were thinking, right?)

…Escape from jail, that is.

You’ve been caught and now you’re locked up (thankfully, you still have your gun).

So now you need to get out of the building. Your escape’s difficult is determined by many different factors. For instance, if you grabbed a lot of cash, you have to escape from a maximum security jail cell. If you grabbed a little, you need to escape from a minimum security jail. You’ll also have to deal with patrolling guards (which you shoot with your rubber bullets) that wander the area. There are also locked doors which require keys to activate.

It all depends on how you played during the robbery part of the game.

The maximum and medium security jails are a lot harder than the minimum one. If you’re looking for a good time, go for the maximum security jail by collecting lots and lots of cash. The more you rob, the harder the game is.

The top-down view is perfect for this little arcade puzzler and the pixel artwork is also very pleasing to look at with its colorful array of detailed objects. It’s pretty short, but it makes for a good time. When you play the game, be sure you try out the hardest difficulty jail. That’s where all the fun is.

Robot Rampage is a top-down arcade shooter.

You need to rescue human survivors in Space Station Asimov. It’s plagued by enemy robots that are only out to “DESTROY.” So you need to hurry up and gather hostages to save them while blasting away enemy robots.

The game is hectic and fast-paced. It’s pretty much mindless Rambo-style run and gun gameplay that makes for a very entertaining time. But you can also use stealth and avoid enemies while gathering up humans if that’s your style.

To rescue the humans, you need to find them and lead them to the evacuation elevator. That’s your main objective for each level.

You also have a secondary objective: destroy all robots and their power sources. This is a lot more fun than rescuing humans, but the whole search and rescue situation adds a nice layer of strategy to the game.

The game features a HUD display which shows the location of each human so you don’t do too much backtracking. They’re equipped with GPS chips so they show up on your radar.

When you find all the humans and evacuate them, you enter the elevator to take on the next level. And repeat. It’s just like an arcade shooter.

The graphics are low-res poly mixed with colorful sprites and objects. It’s a 3D game but it’s fully played in a top-down perspective similar to Hotline Miami at a slight angle. Mean Bullies, Bean Bullies is a game where you need to help beans get across a level and stop bully beans from bullying the good beans.

Sounds weird enough, right?

It’s a game without any end goal, but it’s still entertaining as of now. It’s like a little minigame that you can play to see how many beans you can save from being victims of bullying.

You have 4 different actions you can perform. You can support victims of bullying to help them be happy. You can stand up to bullies. You can stop beans from participating in bullying. Or you can bash bullies by fighting back.

A few of the functions don’t work yet but they’re being built on as the game is still in development as of now.

There are also groups of beans that gather ’round and talk.

If you can play the game, you can tell it’s far from complete. It’s just a little prototype concept that’s pretty interesting to play and makes for some cheap thrills.

The graphics are colorful like something from the SNES era.

It has some nice music to it and will bring a smile on your face when you save some beans.

Signal Decay is a rogue-like stealth game with cooperative gameplay.

It’s a top-down action game that’ll instantly remind you of Ruiner, except that it has co-op, which is awesome.

You play as humanity’s last hope to save civilization from mind control. You’re called upon by an unknown computer and you need to work together cooperatively with your team in order to destroy the enemy computers. You can play with up to two other players and you need to communicate, plan, and cooperate as you infiltrate giant buildings and sneak around.

The game has a rogue-lite mode with procedural level generation. You can choose from a variety of weapons and special abilities that support various play styles. Each level gets increasingly difficult and also have variables such as changing rules and gameplay objectives. The game is largely dependent on a factor of unpredictability as each level or mission changes the game up.

If you’re a solo player, you can also play alone with a special ability not available in the co-op mode. If you play as a team, you need to work together by attacking and defending your team. There’s an alert level that slowly increases as you explore each randomly generated level.

You’ll have to collect resources to survive and complete the objective. Weapons and gadgets are rare, but necessary. they each have their own pros/cons that you need to master in order to use it effectively. Gadgets are little devices that help you by providing you with a single ability.

You can combine it with your weapons for an effective machine to take down enemies and beat the mission that much easier. Resources are scattered and hidden in each level. They unlock upgrades for your character. There are also bonus missions that help you out by providing extra upgrades and resources as well.

The game isn’t easy. Each enemy is unique and has its own weakness. It’s up to you and/or your team to exploit it and use the right ability int he right situation. The stealth factor is also a core concept of the game. You fly a spaceship over a global view of the world in real-time. You need to defeat all the enemy computers in all locations before they’re alerted.
