Bio Evil 4 is a game that’s like a mix of a classic side scrolling platformer and modern horror into one game.

Well, it’s not really a horror game. The game is a side scrolling arcade platformer that’s packed with nonstop action. You play as a dude that looks like Leon from Resident Evil 4 (it actually is him) and you need to make it through some lost lands filled with cult members. You can blast them to pieces, but you’ll never get a chance to relax. The game consists of one long level with only a few checkpoints. The game is pretty difficult but it’s action-packed.

Cool Kid Cody’s Totally Unreal Radical Quest for Godhood is an extremely weird and random adventure game where you need to become a skater god in order to earn the power of being one.

The game has a mix of weird colors and genres- puzzles, platforming, and a narrative-style gameplay. Cody is a kid who thinks is the he’s the best in the world and wants to become a god. I mean, he’s cool enough to get out of class by blowing up his teacher.

This game will take you take on a wonderful and extremely weird and random game. You’ll be pretty surprised where this game will take you. You’ll go through a bunch of different gameplay elements in just a short period of time.

Intertwined is an awesome platformer adventure game where you explore a visual and musical landscape.

The game is largely a parkour game where you need to use your climbing and jumping skills in order to progres. The level is gorgeously crafted with music that syncs with the tone of the game and colorful ambience- everything from trees, flowers, flora, fauna, and buildings. Climb and discover every secret of the dormant village you’ve stumbled upon. This game is mainly a tech demo of sorts, but offers a very enticing parkour through an awesome village.

The controls, colors, and level design is just so well done and flows amazingly well. Recommended if you like eye candy.

HapyFile is a puzzle game that takes place on your desktop. It seems recently we’ve been playing a lot of games that all take place on the desktop for some reason.

Anyway, the point is where you need to arrange your shortcuts on your desktop in a way that allows a lost file to navigate back to your computer. You need to help this lone file across your desktop back to your “cornmputer.” You can’t control it directly, but you can launch and rearrange other programs in order to get it to move.

One program is called Block. Its used as a barrier to or platform so you can build a bridge to allow the file to cross. The Jumpy program is the other one and it launches the file up int he air. Both programs have cooldowns after you use them and you need to manage your programs because you have limited RAM just like a real computer. There are a limited amount of programs you can have at any given point!

Some puzzles are easy and some are difficult. The game is entertaining enough to keep you busy- especially if you’ve grown up with Windows 95!

Letters is an awesome puzzle platformer game where you need to seek out words the rewrite stories from the past to your pen pal.

You play as a girl named Sarah who’s thinking about her past friendship with her pen pal by reading her old letters they exchanged. She like so draw, but sometimes the letters are blocked by her drawings. Your job is to navigate the letters and find the right words to let you move or delete the drawings in order to progress. it’s like a learning game but it’s an adventure form of it.

It features some delicious artwork with a gorgeous design. The soundtrack is uplifting and makes you happy as you read the old letters and seek out the good old times you two had and you reminisce on the memories you’ve had. Try out Letters if you want to be uplifted and just feel good.

Liff is an awesome puzzle platformer game where you play as the God of Life with a paintbrush that can sculpt the land around you.

If you’ve played Epic Mickey, it’s a similar concept. You’re trying to salvage and heal the lost world from the dark matter that’s invading it. You’re armed with a magical paintbrush that lets you terraform the enviornment around you and even erase some objects out of extistence. Not everything can be erased, but most can be removed. Everything else can be sculpted with the given material that you’re paitngin with. It’s a mesmerizing experience.

Your character is pretty slow and doesn’t have the natural platformer hero abilities, but you can scultp and erase a ton of objects around you that lets you play the game uniquely. You can add leaves to trees, build birdges, or delete objects. The artwork is amazing and the game gives you freedom to play the game the way you want.

Comic Boll is a game that’ll instantly remind you of Sonic.

It’s a game where you need to race through the levels as a small ball that has the ability to beat up enemies, yet rolls around through the levels like Sonic. It’s like if Sonic were a beat ’em up game, but Comic Boll goes further because it combines gameplay elements from games like Astro Boy Omega Factor from the GBA era. It’s hard to explain. Just play it.

The developer says the game is a remake a previous title called Bolinha, which was made back in 2006 based on some previous comic work.

So, as you roll around, there are a ton of enemies to fight and you’ll have to be careful as you roll around because the game is pretty tough. You have limited HP and you can roll, punch, combo, and even dodge bullets in real time. there are also plenty of special items that give you buffs. If you’ve played any retro platformer (that was go0d), Cosmic Boll plays similarly. The work in this game shows.

Comic Boll is a unique game with its cheery visuals and gameplay that makes you feel like you’re playing something from the N64 days. Try out this happy little platformer.

The City Goes Dark: Litterally is a first-person parkour simulator game. And yes, it’s spelled that way. It’s a submission to Brackey’s Game Jam 2018.

It has you running nonstop automatically through the city as you try outrun a darkness that’s eating up the city. You need to run away from the power outage by running (duh), sprinting, jumping, wall-running, and even double jumping as you try to not get eaten up by the darkness. The game is laid out in a way that almost feels like a VR experience (it’d be pretty cool if it were) and it’s like a parkour simulator in first person.

Let’ get one thing straight. I can’t beat this game. It’s very difficult and timing is everything. At first, you’ll think how do  you possibly get through that part? Or that obstacle? It’s freaking’ impossible at some parts and will take a lot of trial and error in order to beat. If you’re up for a difficult platformer, try out this game. It’ll test your patience.

EXPLOTRIP is a difficult platformer game where you’re on a mission to rid a ticking bomb!

You need to get through the level quickly before it blows up on you, so it’s like a speed platformer game. You can use bomb explosions to blow yourself in any direction to get that small speed increase. You’ll need to master in it in order to beat the level without running out of time. But one usage in the wrong direction could cost you the time, so be careful!

The game has 15 levels and get progressively more challenging. If you like platformers with a twist, try out EXPLOTRIP!

Dream Dasher is a pretty hand-drawn 2D platformer where you dash nonstop in order to progress- as you may have guessed from the title of the game!

Well, it’s not really nonstop. You have to time it in order to get across gaps that fall into the endless abyss in order to make it through each level. Each level has multiple branching paths with plenty of goodies to be found. You’re a small ball who can roll, jump, and dash, and you’ll need to utilize all of your abilities to make it through the game’s levels.

The artwork for this game is gorgeous. It’s truly hand-drawn with amazing sprites and animations. The game has 6 levels to play through with one boss level to get through using an overworld hub with plenty of cute NPCs to talk to and areas to explore. You’ll feel like you’re playing a mix of Sonic and a bit of Mario (old-school) as you play through the game. You’ll also have to kill enemies. Every one you attack grants you a shield that blocks a single hit. It’s kind of cool.

Some levels are easy, but others are hard. You’ll have to combine your attacks together in order to get across some gaps in the game, which will net you a nice score to gloat over.

Overall, Dream Dasher is a fast-paced and pretty platformer with quality and polished gameplay. Try it out if you like platformers with some pretty artwork.
