Plagued Station (Complete) – A Very Difficult Indie Platformer

Plagued Station is a challenging game that plays similar to Cave Story and Spelunky HTML.

It’s a game where you have to descend into a science lab. You need to save 5 scientists that are trapped there and then escape to the surface. That’s the goal of the game and it’s very difficult to actually accomplish. You need to have a ton of patience to play this game.

The lab is filled with monsters and there’s also a power supply. You need to find all of the scientists while taking care of the monsters and watching the power supply. You’re a lone hero on a very difficult quest. Plagued Station ain’t an easy game.

You’ll encounter all sorts of mechanisms that require power to run like air vents and train stations. If you power up the station, you have to utilize these mechanisms quickly before the power drains. You need to use it, rescue the scientist, and make your way back the main room. The main room where you start has a power generator that powers up the station. This is where you activate the various objects in Plagued Station.

The game’s baddies are pretty easy to kill. You’re armed with a simple gun and you can shoot them to bring them down. However, if you take too long and let the power drain, stronger versions of the baddies will come out and start attacking you. Then it’s a lot more difficult to kill them. So don’t let the power run out when you’re exploring.

Plagued Station is a hard indie game because of the timing. You have limited time before the power drains to rescue the scientists. Even though you run fast and you’re armed with a weapon, you need to act fast. Your gun also functions as a jetpack that you can use to launch yourself for the game’s platforming sections. The game does have some parkour elements where you have to jump from platform to platform while shooting down baddies. The game is a mix of Cave Story with Mega Man.

Try out Plagued Station. It’s an awesome indie platformer with a unique twist. It’ll cause you to rage a lot and probably rage quit, but you’ll come back because it’s very satsifying when you precisely time that jump.
