Zappy Boy is an awesome little quirky adventure game where you play as a freaky little Electrical Spirit.
The game has you traveling through the game’s levels through electrical wires you control with your mouse. You need to carefully guide him through each level and reach the end to progress, but it’s never as easy as it sounds!
It’s a sidescrolling platformer game (kinda) where you need to watch out for environmental hazards like cats and crows that want to take the spark out of you! You need to reach the end of the level in order to power up a house or building that’s in desperate need of some electrical power. Zappy Boy to the rescue.
The game uses a 2.5D plane with detailed and colorful artwork that looks like Mario in Unity or something. Each level has you zapping your way through the city, farms, and more. You’ll also go through a variety of environments that differ in the environment and even time of day.
You travel by electrical wires which you can “leap” from one to the next one. You draw them with your mouse and they have to “flow” properly in order for Zappy Boy to jump from one to the next.
Each level also has some sweet collectibles you can snag in the form variously-sized stars. Zappy Boy is a very nicely detailed adventure platformer game that’s worth a play through.
