The Terrible Beast from the East is a MMORPG in a 2D world.
The game revolves around you customizing your avatar with a powerful arsenal and a stance of your choosing.
It’s not a hardcore MMORPG by any means. It’s actually very user-friendly that makes it easy to get into. You level your character, get equips, get weapons, go on a dungeon raid, and get loot. Loot it where the game shines. It’s all about the awesome loot you can get and pimp out your character. Each dungeon raid you partake in teams you up with up to three other players and you guys will fight waves of enemies and bosses. What makes this game different is that your character is stationary. There’s no movement involved. You simply use your mouse to choose which enemy to attack as they sneak up on you. You must click the right monster to attack it.
For hardcore RPG players, this may not be all too appealing. For those who want something easy to play, The Terrible Beast from the East is a very easy game.
You level up your character and you can choose which skills to learn just like any other RPG. But they’re not persistent. You need to relearn them for each new raid. It’s kind of like League of Legends. Every session you start anew so you can test out different combinations of skills. The raids are also easy to play and they only take place in one area since you can’t move around.
The game is good for anyone looking for a very easy MMORPG that’s casual and easy. You can interact with other players, chat, make friends, etc.
Check out this game if you’re looking for a cheap thrill. It’s still in alpha, but it looks pretty addicting so far. Just because it’s not hardcore doesn’t mean it’s not fun.
