I Catch You (Complete) – Investigate the Murder of a Cat Stripper as a Cat Detective in a Dog-Eat-Cat World

Game Review

I Catch You is a hilarious detective simulator game- with cats and dogs!

We just covered another interrogation simulator called Room of Truth a few days ago, and now we’re doing the same thing with a bunch of cats. It must be interrogation season.

Anyway, it’s a game where you need to use a bunch of interrogation abilities at the desk to find out who killed a stripper cat named Cassie. Yup. A stripper. With cats.

You’re a mean and lean feline detective named Detective Bronson in a dog-eat-cat world. Instead of humans, I Catch You has a world with tons of dogs and a few cats. You’re struggling to get some business and you’re kind of depressed yourself. So you drink yourself to sleep at night with a big bowl of milk. You wake up the next day with a new cold case to investigate.

A stripper has been murdered and there are four prime suspects. It’s up to you to use the clues presented to you and all the evidence in order to solve the case! You can use a variety of techniques to sniff out the true murderer. Literally. You’ll use your keen sense of smell in order to find out more details about them.

You can find out if they’ve been digging through the trash, where they’ve been, and what’ they’ve been doing. This is probably the funniest part of the game and the technique you’ll be using the most. Who needs interrogation weapons when you can just sniff your suspect out?

You can also use evidence and clues as well to help you choose the right cat. You’ll be investigating each suspect one at a time, but you’re free to make your decision at any time. However, I found that out that it really ruins the fun of the game. Even if you know who the suspect is, you should probably cycle through all of them just to see the funny dialog. That’s the point of the game!

And sometimes you think you know who it is, but the next cat has some even more convincing evidence, so be sure to play with all the cats. You’ll find new clues with each cat and sometimes you’ll even have to interrogate a cat for a second time.

The game takes place at an interrogation table and has tons of branching paths. Sometimes it can get pretty confusing to see what’s going. I had to write stuff down on paper to get my facts straight. It can get pretty overwhelming at some points with all the dialog presented to you.

Overall, I Catch You is a nicely animated pixel art game that looks like something from the 90s. Flashy art, contrasting colors, and a fitting palette of tones that really bring out details in the artwork. If you like mystery games or detective games (or cats), try out I Catch You using the link below. It’s currently completely free to play and a case worth investigating!

It’s such a good game! I just finished it. The art is charming and the cats are catty, and investigation simulation at its slickest. Just cool all round. I want them to make more games like this though, it was sad to finish.

Yeah, totally.

The game’s artwork was stunning! You should let the dev know how much you enjoyed it! Perhaps it’ll egg them on to make another game.
