Super Starcade PANIC is an indie arcade game where you play the role of a business CEO and you need to keep your arcade raking in the dough.
It’s a tycoon game where you’re in control of the arcade and your actions directly affect the businesses outcome.
It’s an 80’s arcade that’s going downhill in profits. Your job is to turn it around and get it back in business. You have 5 days to do so and you need to learn how to manage all your assets.
Each day begins anew with you having to pay the utility bill and buy some games. These are the two major expenses each day. After that, it’s all about taking care of your game center.
You need power for the games, and then you need to actually walk around and plug them in. The more arcade games you have, the more power that’s required. You need to decide which ones to turn on and which ones to leave off. It’s up to you to be the boss and decide. And games aren’t everything.
You also have to take care of popcorn, candy, and other accessories as well. All of these tie into a big electrical budget that you need to manage yourself.
You can view the fun rating of your arcade by seeing which games are popular and which aren’t. You can also see finer details- like how much cash each person has similar to Rollercoaster Tycoon. The point of the game is to get them to spend all their cash on your games so you can bring the arcade around.
Super Starcade PANIC is a fun little tycoon indie game and is worth a try. The graphics are retro, which is fitting to the game, and the game is very addictive and entertaining to play. Give it a try.
