Don’t Feed is an indie game based off of custom games in Warcraft 3.
If you’re a fan of games like Footman Frenzy and Pimp My Peon, you’ll probably like Don’t Feed.
It’s basically a standalone version of these custom games with a few new features such as more units and no hero units.
It plays in a 2D isometric view which is pretty much what you’d expect from an RTS game. You can control a ton more units compared to the original grouping in WC3. The units have health bars and are controllable exactly like the original game.
Don’t Feed also has a very basic UI with a minimap and a scoreboard. The controls are also nearly identical other than some hotkeys.
The game aims to focus on the RTS elements rather than hero units. There are plans for competitive play as well. You can play with up to four people in a combat arena.
Though the niche for this game isn’t too big, it’s still very enjoyable for those who dig it. It brings back nostalgia for sure.
- Based on classic Warcraft 3 custom games
- Control more units than the original
- A standalone game is always appreciated for the fans
- No hero units may be a turn off to some players
