Fortnite Battle Royale has been officially released for Android owners.

Samsung Galaxy owners can sight up for beta and download the game and play right now. Before, it was only available on everything but Android. And now they can jump on in right after the beta test. Galaxy owners can jump on in and join the craze.

Only a select list of devices will work for the game, but all players will be able to cross-play between iOS and Android so mobile shouldn’t be an issue. PC and console players will also be able to play with mobile players, but that’s if you want to get smoked by a handheld controller or a deadly keyboard/mouse combo! Bluetooth controllers will also be supported by mobile.

This game needs no intro. It’s the most popular game on the planet right now.

So far, Samsung S7, S7 Edge, S8, S8 Plus, Note 8, S9, S9 Plus devices will be eligible for beta testing. Other devices will receive the game on August 12th (today) with wave enrollment!

Xtraction Royale is a new VR battle royale game powered by the Unreal Engine. But there’s a twist.

Other than being a VR battle royale game, players will earn cryptocurrency for playing. It’ll be compatible with HTC Vive and Oculus Rift and offers some intense battle royale gameplay similar to pretty much any other game in the same genre- but it has VR support. Players can arrange squads or play solo and use real-life weaponry with accurate stats.

There are also plenty of equipment, armor, traps, and even scraps to collect during matches which allow players to upgrade their gear at upgrade locations throughout the map (which are obviously going to be hot spots) and change up the game. Players must reach the Xtraction Zone within the time limit and only players that get inside the helicopter will survive. The game is a little different from other games where you must reach a specific point rather than kill everyone else. Character customization is a big part of the game and nearly everything can be customized with the marketplace which has lots of gear.

Players will rewarded with a virtual currency called RVR. It’s their own cryptocurrency which can be used to buy stuff in the game or traded for real cash.

The game is still very early in development but players can sign up for beta. VR and crypto are what makes this game stands out form the sea of battle royale games.

Fight the Horror is a multiplayer third-person survival horror RPG.

The game pits two teams in a map where both teams need to solve puzzles and work together in order to solve puzzles and defend against creatures in a city. They need to survive a whole week. That’s the basic layout of how the game works.

The two teams consist of 2v2 with both parties doing what they can to survive the city. Everything from resource gathering, hunting zombies, and even killing the other players for resources is all included. But it’s not the other team that’s the issue- it’s plentiful of zombies.

The game is split into a day/night cycle with the daytime being the time to build up your defenses or collect resources for the night. At nighttime, that’s when the creatures come out. You’ll need to work with your partner and scavenge weapons, kill enemies, collect stuff, and solve puzzles. This is the first type of game with teams working against each other in a zombie-infested city ever made I believe. I haven’t seen any other game like this before.

Valheim is an awesome game where you explore a huge fantasy world immersed in Norse mythology and Viking culture.

The game has you starting off as a character in a small village. You’re then completely free to explore the procedurally-generated world with multiple biomes. The farther from the center you go, the more difficult the game becomes. You’ll find new enemies and monsters that become more dangerous, but at the same time, you’ll find newer materials that are rare which can be used to craft some gem weapons and sturdier armor. It’s like Minecraft in a Viking world.

You can explore, craft, hunt, and even build your stronghold and outposts anywhere you want in the world to mark your journey. The game even has some longships you can build which will allow you to sail the oceans!

Valheim is an RPG all about exploring. The game has a fully-featured combat system with block, doge, and a variety of weapons and combat styles. You can cut trees, mine for minerals, build bases, portals, outposts, craft armors, weapons, and hunt down powerful enemies. And the game even has online multiplayer, so the possibilities are endless. Though I didn’t test the client-server feature, I’d imagine it’d be pretty cool to explore with friends and establish a base together.

The game already has a ton of content for a demo and will keep you busy for hours. The graphics are very polished already and the game’s generated levels are awesome. The worlds are unique and different for every playthrough and I wasted hours just wandering int he pretty biomes. Valheim has a lot going for it. If you like RPGs, try it out.

Aground is an awesome 2D pixel art survival game.

You start out by ending up a desert island called Aground. You can then walk around and explore, collect resources, craft, build, mine, and building shelter. You can then expand your base on this uninhabited island.

The game has a tech tree which will eventually have you researching new developments. You can explore the island and find lone survivors and invite them back to your settlement.

After a while, you can learn abilities, get new tech, find new islands, ride dragons, and even explore space when you have the tech. You start out with nothing and build your colony into an expansive settlement that’ll eventually end up in space. The end goal is to find out why you ended up washing up on the island.

If you like Terraria or Minecraft, you definitely need to try out Aground The game has a free version and a free beta sign up also. Try it out if you like survival games.

Blackout is an old-school narrative survival game that’ll instantly remind you of Oregon Trail back in elementary school.

You guide a group of survivors through a known, but dangerous route with a ton of hazards. The events are scripted though, so ti’s pretty much the same game every time. but this lets you learn from your past mistakes for your second venture. Because chances are you ain’t gonna make much progress the first time around! It’s pretty difficult when you play it at first because the logic is nothing but logical. You have to think in a different way in order to progress- but I don’t want to spoil it too much.

The game takes place in an apocalyptic world where an EMP wave-like thing wiped out all electronics. Survivors need to look for resources and steal from other people in order to survive the world. It’s like a world without electronics- everything’s gone to shambled.

You control a small group of survivors where you need to try to guide them towards lights int eh sky, which may be a sign of salvation. Each one is unique in needs and status that you’ll have to learn how to manage well in order to maintain their state.

Blackout is far from being complete. It currently offers a very short playtime of about 12 minutes and only covers the beginning of the game. You’ll encounter many different hazards and will be forced to make decisions in order to progress. Try it out if you like games like Oregon Trail. It’s a new take on it.

Grimmwood is a social survival RPG that has you and up to 30 other players all trying to survive in a fixed location from zombies!

It’s a roguelike RPG that’s like Minecraft survival with 30 random players if it were a card game. You need to survive by gathering resources and crafting tools and weapons to help you defend your village against attackers at night. It’s a team effort with a shared village that gets infested with zombies every single cycle and it gets harder as time goes on. Crafting tools and fighting zombies is the daily life in this village situated in an ageless fantasy forest. It’s horror survival with others.

It’s like survival, exploration, and a roguelike game all into one game.

The area is a dark forest which you can explore during the day to gather resources and list points of interest, but then you need to hide at night in your village and defend it against monsters that attack.

You have energy, sanity, hunger, health, and thirst levels to keep track of. Up to 30 other players can also take residence in your village also. If you choose to play alone, you can do so, but playing with others to each chip in for resources will help you out. Working together allows you to fortify the village and help each other depending on personality types.

The game has asynchronous multiplayer with a real-time 24-hour cycle and allocated stamina points that you can choose each day. The game also has in-game chat for communications. Although playing against other players isn’t encouraged, it’s possible.

Grimmwood is available for Beta on Steam. Team up with other villages and defend the village and save it from the oncoming attacking zombies!

Hearth is a top-down survival game where you need to keep your fire going.

If it runs out, the game’s over.

It’ll instantly remind you of The Long Dark. You’re in the freezing winters and it’s snowing. You need to scour the land in search of wood, resources, and items in order to keep the fire burning. The catch is that you can also use the resources to craft weapons, light sources, or build other tools to help you work more efficiently. Everything is burnable, but everything also has a purpose.

You need to do some resource management and decide whether to burn it and keep the hearth going or utilize it and make it into something that’ll benefit you int he long run.

The world is filled with random things to collect and there are a few monsters here and there. The game is still in early dev, but it lays out a nice foundation.

Infinite Dust is a sandbox RPG FPS that combines many elements of survival games into one epic space game.

You need to build, explore, craft, loot, scavenge, and defend over huge procedurally-generated planets that are completely user changeable. You start out alone like any other survival game and all you have is a crappy gun and a small stash of supplies. You’re free to do whatever you want- explore or build your base. The land is huge and filled with many different creatures and plants.

You’re an explorer of “The Fleet” and you need to explore and survive by exploiting resources found naturally on planets, asteroids, ruins, moons, and other wrecks. Building and designing stuff is only the beginning. You need to build larger and faster vessels to explore the planet and space over huge distances. The game features a huge catalog of items even in its current build that you can consume, craft, and build with. It’s a game to be reckoned with.

As you explore, you’ll encounter weak to powerful enemies which you can kill to loot their goods from their inventories. You’ll also come across abandoned bases, buildings, and bunkers that you need to investigate for supplies and resources. You can even break them apart to use their pieces for your own base. You even get a drill that lets you deform and terraform the terrain. It’s like Subnautica but on the surface.

Infinite Dust is gathering a lot of press all over the web so it just may be the next survival game. As it’s still early in development, there are a lot of things that are just being discovered by players. You can build anything from weapons, vehicles, and buildings at this point, and the possibilities seem endless. The game’s worlds are indeed a little empty at this point, but more stuff will obviously be added later on.

If you’re looking for the next alien survival game, try out Infinite Dust. It has a solid foundation for a new awesome game that just looks extremely promising even in its current build.

Radical Heights is another battle royale free-to-play survival game that’s probably the trippiest one I’ve seen in ages.

Since the genre just took off, I’ve seen dozens of clones. Lots of them are blatant ripoffs of the top games (Fornite and PUBG), but others are decent and try something unique and different.

Radical Heights is one of those games. I can guarantee that you’ve never seen a last man standing game like this before. The game is developed by Cliff Bleszinski, who you may have heard of before. No? Well, he was involved in popular titles like LawBreakers (which has recently been shut down) and Gears of War. How’s that?

LawBreakers couldn’t find a proper audience to keep the game going, so Boss Key Productions shut it down. I’m not sure why they couldn’t get traction. It was a unique game with a nice twist on the genre. Or probably they just didn’t have the promotional power from companies like Bluehole and Epic Games to make their games go viral. Who knows.

Their new project is Radical Heights. It’s a survival game with 80s-themed art. You wield giant guns, shoot other players, and ride BMX bikes that can do some radical tricks. Yup. BMX bikes. And tricks. You just want to be rich and famous by killing everyone else.

The game also has an in-game currency system (AKA: your wallet) that lets you purchase stuff to upgrade your gear and equipment from vending machines and other systems during the match. Instead of looting stuff for free, you need to earn it by using cash.

As for the gameplay style, Radical Heights starts off like its competitors with you riding in the air and gliding to a safe location (or not) and then starting your loot frenzy. You can loot weapons, equips, and currency to buy stuff. This isn’t anything special.

The best part about the game is the artwork. You’ll feel like you’re stuck in the disco era with lots of contrasting colors, dudes with band tour shirts, guys with long greasy hair, trampolines, gadgets, cosmetics, and BMX bikes with pink/blue tye-dye skins and pegs. It’s totally radical. The area you play in is an urban city complete with houses, arcades, restaurants, parks, lakes, mountains, shops, and the outdoors.

The game is literally crazy. There are some very weird things you’ll see all over the map that you’d never expect. There are dynamic “game show” events that can change the outcome of the game in seconds.

Besides the artwork, currency, and bikes, it also has a unique way to filter people into one location. Instead of a circle that gets smaller with time, the game has a grid system that turns off specific squares in a pattern and systemic way. This is pretty awesome and offers players a different way to take each other down.

You can try out Radical Heights on Steam using the link below. It’s still in early dev so expect bugs and glitches here and there. But you can see from the foundation of it that it’s a game that’s not just any other survival game. This one can soar to some radical heights!
