Radical Relocation is a ridiculous little game where you need to move all of your possessions from one house to another.
You’re moving. You don’t want to make multiple trips. You’re too cheap to rent a U-Haul. So what do you do? You pack everything on top of your own sedan car (without straps), balance it all on top, and drive to your new place without toppling it all over the road. You’re going to break the law, possibly harm yourself, and possibly harm someone else just so you can save a few bucks and do everything in one go.
It’s kinda like when you haul groceries to your house in one trip. 6 bags per hand. And 2 gallons of milk.
As you may know, physics-based games are always fun to play. Radical Relocation is no exception.
The physics engine in this game is top-notch and balances your possessions just as if you were to actually stack it on top of a moving car. Well, as close as possible.
The game starts out with you placing stuff like your dresser, couch, boxes, surfboard, desk, and even your kitchen sink all on top of your car. You have to balance it properly or else it’ll topple. You can rotate objects in all 3 dimensions and you need to get it right so it doesn’t fall by the force of gravity.
As you drive, it’ll probably fall. That’s why you park your car illegally in the middle of the road and rearrange all of it again. I mean, that’s what everyone does.
It’s a physics-based puzzle game that’s just full of funny moments. You need to pass both the stacking and driving phases in order to beat the game.
When you start driving around the neighborhood, you’ll have a minimap to tell you where to go. It’s a warm sunny day and you’ll have to avoid crashing into trees, houses, and your own obstacles. You can accelerate, brake, and turn, but you need to be extremely careful. If you go too fast, your stack will topple. There are even some hidden shortcuts in the ‘hood for you to discover.
The game starts off easy with nicely-shaped boxes and cases. then it gets harder with random objects that make it nearly impossible to stack nicely. This is where the game gets interesting.
Radical Relocation is a game built for laughs. It’s like the Tetris of moving. If you’re in for a good time and want to mess around for 10-20 minutes, this game is worth your time. Unique concept. Fun game. Difficult. Cute graphics. Play it. You’ll have a blast.
