DuskWorld is an old-school Quake-like FPS game with run and gun mechanics and Rambo-style gameplay.
You play as a hero on a mission to defeat militants and dark forces. You’re not taking any nonsense and stealth isn’t your motto. You’re a badass man of valor on a journey to take down as many of these cultists as you possibly can.
Of course, you’re not alone.
You’re with your friends- your trusty saw blade, your explosive grenade launcher, and your favorite shotgun.
The game actually features quite an impressive selection of weaponry you can use to blow up, cut up, or otherwise mutilate these militants. The developer really didn’t skimp on the animations. These baddies literally blow up into pieces when you kill them. It gives you a nice sense of satisfaction whenever you take one down. Take down multiple to enhance it. Think Doom, Quake, Hexen, Redneck Rampage, or even Heretic and you’ll know what I mean. It’s all about the gore.
The game plans to feature three campaign modes and an endless survival option as well. The game currently has one of the three episodes available on Steam.
Of course, this kind of game wouldn’t be complete without a multiplayer option, right?
There’s a “duskmatch” mode where it’s exactly what you’d expect.You’re in a multiplayer arena and your only goal is to take down as many opponents as you can. Get the best score and you win. It’s basically an arena shooter which delivers the mayhem and chaotic online experience you’d expect.
the game is currently in beta and it’s a blast to play (literally). It’s all about the fast-paced action and mindless shooting that makes this game awesome. Choose your gun. Blast bad guy to pieces. Beat level. Repeat. It’s all you need.
If you’re up for some classic nostalgia, give DuskWorld a try. It’s currently available for beta sign up and only people who sign up will get access to it when it rolls out. It’ll be a paid game when it’s fully released.
