Orc Colony is a pretty cool strategy game where you control a huge colony of orcs underground, kinda like Fallout Shelter.

You mine, build, craft, and complete quests. You can even raid human settlements that are nearby. The game has you building a huge tunnel network as you dig through the earth to find valuable resources in order to craft items. You can mine and build your base in any direction you want, but the best valuables are deep inside the earth and you’ll have to work your way through in order to mine them.

You’ll come across various materials like rocks, silver, copper, iron, mithril, emeralds, and more. You can use them to smelt into gold while the stone can be used as building material for new buildings in order to expand your base. Weapons, armor, and other blueprints can be used to deck out your army in order to raid a human settlement or sold for more cash.

You work under your orc king who’ll give you random quests for your fulfill. If you fulfill them, he’ll be happy. You need to complete these quests to best of your ability because if you don’t, you’re kicked out!

The best part about Orc Colony is definitely the crafting. You need to build as many materials as possible with all the valuables you mine from exploration. You need to them keep goblin porters running as they sustain your colony.

You also need to build various rooms to keep porters and orcs happy, such as butchers, kitchen, piggeries, and other structures in order to keep your colony chugging along. If one thing goes awry, your colony can collapse under its own weight. An example would be no food. If you starve your colony, orcs will leave and never come back. Then you’ll lose your workforce. Then your colony will fall apart piece by piece!

The game is extremely addicting and perfect for anyone who’s into strategy sims. Try out Orc Colony for yourself as the game is still in early access right now before it blows up and they start charging you to play! But by then, you’ll probably be so addicted you’ll have no problem paying for this fresh new strategy game.

T-ROT The Last Probe is a difficult third-person shooter with a mix of tower defense all into one game.

You play as a small robot who needs to defend his cargo from invading attackers. You have a variety of weapons that range from automatics to rocket launchers, but you also have the ability to command an entire fleet of towers to defend your cargo!

The game plays in waves similar to any TD game. You have a choice of seven total different towers but you get to only select four at the beginning of each match. You can choose from Flames, Lasers, Electric, Turrets, and Barricades. There are a total of seven waves of enemies with a big boss at the end.

Each wave ends and allows you to build your defense just like any other TD game. You can place turrets, block paths, and use your strategies that you’ve gained all throughout the years to take on another exciting TD. The third-person shooting phase is probably the most entertaining and you work synergistically with your turrets.

Each wave gets progressively more difficult with the boss being the kicker. If you like TD, try out T-ROT The Last Probe for a fusion of genres. The game’s page and description are in French, but you can easily use a translator to translate it.

Defending Camelot is an awesome tower defense game with colorful visuals and artwork that’ll give Plants vs. Zombies a challenge for best visuals!

You play as a guy named Arthur who can use a variety of warriors on the field to prevent a bunch of zombie hordes from invading Camelot. The game has you placing different types of warriors on the grid each with unique abilities. Some are offensive while others are defensive. If you’ve played ANY TD game on the planet, you know exactly how it works.

The playing field is divided into 5 lanes and monsters will approach your back row. If you fail to defend it, the game’s over. The zombies range in speed, movement, defensive, offensive, and some can even change lanes. Planting warriors cost gold which is gathered by farmers. Most units will only attack or defend against monsters in the same lane, but later on, the game gets pretty difficult and you’ll have to act quickly and strategically in order to take down the horde!

Monsters can wear armor and also fly and jump over units, just like in PvZ. There are also bosses that’ll be present in each level and the occasional huge wave of zombies!

There are total of 99 levels, 33 enemies, 44 units, and bosses. the game takes over 100 hours to beat and it has a campaign and endless mode also. Pretty awesome and a well-done game for those who like TD games. Definitely worth a play! You can play the demo right now and see the impressive visuals for yourself.

The Fertile Cresent is an RTS game that takes place during the Bronze Age.

It’s a game that’s currently in alpha testing so it’s pretty limited in visuals and sounds. Otherwise, it’s your basic isometric RTS game where you need to train villages and warriors to harvest resources and defend your base. The game has a few buildings to expand your village and research for developing technologies. It’s pretty much your standard RTS.

The game has meters like food which is required to sustain your population. As you get resources, you’ll have to build buildings and expand your village. There are a few buildings and variety of units you can build in this demo.

The demo also has an emeny tribe you can attack on a randomly-gneerated map. It’s still in need of a lot of mechanics like unit groupoing, but if you like simple RTS games, this is one you should check out. The art style is minimalistic and makes it feel very approachable so it’s sorta like a city-builder. Try it out yourself using the link below!

Depraved is a neat little city builder with survival elements combined. It plays like an older builder sim.

It’s a top-down game with some old-school graphics that’ll remind you RuneScape or something. You need to establish a city, expand your towns, and build outposts in order to help your city dwellers survive. The game takes place during Wild West times or something like that. Don’t quote me.

The game has a variety of inhabitants such as pioneers, settlers, and citizens. Each does their own thing and acts accordingly. You need to satisfy their needs and meet basic resources like food, water, and firewood.

Each class is good at something and you need to fully utilize them in order to prosper your town. Nurturing them with resources will help them build up your village and expand it. Supply chains and outposts will later be needed in order to protect them from wild animals, starvation, attacks, bandits, and diseases.

The game has procedurally-generated worlds so it never looks the same. Every resident has their own needs. You can also build production chains to further process goods and materials. The weather and seasons also change with time.

Depraved is still widely in early development but has been out for a while. If you like city builders, try out this game. It has a lot of attention to detail and is one of the newer indie city builders I’ve come across that offers something unique.

Murderous Pursuits is a unique Victorian-era multiplayer stealth-em-up game where you need to hunt and kill your target before you get killed yourself- and avoid any witnesses.

It’s a game that involves stealth and strategy into one awesome experience. A man named Mr. X invites you and others to sneak and kill each other on a giant ship.

The game is developed by some of the same people who made The Ship and Thie Ship: Remastered. It’s a stealth game that has you trying to camouflage yourself on a giant ship and take out key targets without being discovered! You’re up against 7 other human players all aboard the HMCS Britannic and your only mission is to kill the others.

You can choose from 8 playable characters. You customize the skin and such so you can blend in with the crowd.

But it’s not that easy. You need to act like a regular passenger and avoid revealing yourself.

Pick a target. Find them. And kill them.

While being a target at the same time.

That’s right. The game has you sneaking around the ship looking for your targets. But as you watch and stalk your target, someone could very well be watching you as well. You need to blend in with the NPC passengers on the ship, the environment, and sometimes the other players in order to not get discovered and killed first! It’s a concept that’s only been done a few times, but it’s usually not done with this level of detail.

The game allows you to use the entire ship to your advantage. You’re free to walk anywhere on the ship and utilize everything you can to not be the odd man out. You need to do your best to blend in with the rest of the sheep or risk getting killed. The ship hides a lot of loot you can use as well. You’ll need everything you can because you don’t know how skilled the other players are and what they’re thinking. The game has four different locations on the colonial ship, such as a Music Hall or Engine House.

It’s like a mental game of chess on a boat with special abilities, a hitlist, and lots of lethal assassins.

You need to stay undercover until you’re sure you can kill your target without getting killed yourself. It’s all about watching, stalking, and thinking like a hawk/fox hybrid! You need to use a blend of strategy and stealth in order to successfully take out your chosen killers. Running and gunning probably won’t work.

Murderous Pursuits also gives you some skills and abilities to aid you in the process. There are a total of five, but you can only use two per match. You can disguise yourself to pose as just another NPC. You can also counter and flash the other players to escape or trick them.

The game features both solo offline play or online play with 8 players. You can customize the game options and even add bots if needed. Murderous Pursuits is a very interesting game that looks like a blast to play. You can sign up for the beta using the link below to get into the arena first for a “killer” time!

What Are You Stupid is a hilarious and demeaning quiz game show that’ll test your knowledge on a variety of topics!

The first thing you’ll notice about the game is that it’s fully rendered in black-and-white, hand-drawn artwork. The cast of characters is all goofy-looking caricatures with familiar names like “Dad.” The game takes place in your house (or at least it appears so) with a whole family of people to interact with. There are a total of 15 characters planned for the full release, each with their own personalities, strengths, and weaknesses.

The game is a battle RPG played like a quiz show. You have a bunch of opponents to select from. Each one you target will show you a short bio about them- (such as how “Dad” is the perfect enemy to “warm up” on). And it gives you their quiz show battle stats (such as their HP, damage, quiz timer, category, and even overall difficulty).

Then you choose whether or not you want to fight them or not- by clicking the giant “Challenge” button and bringing them into the 1v1 quiz show showdown!

The gameplay is simple. After you choose your enemy, you then answer the questions they throw at you. If you choose wrongly, you lose HP. If you choose correctly, they lose HP. The first person to completely demolish the others’ HP wins the match! Or at least, that’s how I understand how it works. It’s one weird game.

The fact that the characters in the game ask you questions about your family and that they’re dubbed familiar pronouns is just creepy and weird at the same time. It’s one of those games you shouldn’t be interested in, but you are. I couldn’t stop clicking to see what weird question I’d see next.

Each character has a unique personality that kinda fits what you’d expect from them. If you answer wrongly, you get humiliated by them and it’s very funny and very painful at the same time as well. It’s pretty embarrassing when you know the answers sometimes also. And it’s painful when a similar situation has actually happened to you (in real life).

The game is inspired by older comic stripes and the artwork is amazing. According to the dev, it’s 100% hand-drawn. Even though it’s simple, the unique characters, dialog, and the fact that it’s a quiz show battle against your family will be enough to pull you in and guarantee a good time.

Good Company is a next-level management sim that’s all about creating, building, expanding, and optimizing a world of robot automation manufacturing.

The game has the standard top-down isometric perspective with complete 3D graphics that are colorful and appealing. Just look at the screenshots.

As you know, computer automation is a pretty big thing right now. It’s only appropriate that a team of devs go about and make a game about it!

Good Company starts you off in an 80’s-style world where you only have a modest office space. From there, you build, invest in new technology, hire staff, and start to produce machinery. Over time, you’ll hire more employees and optimize your processes and build innovative new robots to tempt the crowds. That’s the main focus of the game- you’re a machinery tycoon and this is a corporate machinery simulator!

You build robots with AI that are advanced that eventually, you’ll have to replace your own workers (is this a foresight of the future?). You can choose to replace all of them for better efficiency and lower cost of operations, or you can be sympathetic and only replace a few. The choice is yours. In fact, all the choice s you make in this game affect the outcome of your business.

You’re the CEO and you’re in the middle of the action. Your choices affect the outcomes of everything your business and employees. You can have each employee learn tasks or you can design robots to do those tasks. You can build robots to help global needs and demands and have your profits soar. You can optimize processes that are inefficient to increase productivity (perfect for technical players).

The game takes it even further and has you trading stocks and practicing marketing as well and compete against rival corporations- they may even try to steal your IP.

Do you want to be a greedy robotic tycoon and rake in the cash? Go for it. Or how about being the compassionate and kind CEO that does it for the people? You can do that too. In fact, the game has an emphasis on the balance between the whole robotic workers vs. human workers argument and you’ll have to decide which path you want to go. You have a reputation to cater to as well as the role of being a boss- and a corporation as well.

The best part about Good Company is that it allows for both single and multiplayer co-op as well. I’m not sure how exactly the multiplayer would work since there can only be a single CEO, but it’ll be interesting to find out. This is the kind of business management game I’d play. The artwork looks adorable and appealing. The game is colorful with a touch of casual play but has a very deep technical side to it as well. It looks like it’s easy to get into yet difficult to master.

Good Company is a corporate sim that I’ll be watching. It’s available for early access signup if you submit your email to be informed. Be one of the first to play this next-level business management sim!

Starmancer is an awesome simulator that takes place in a space station situated in the far reaches of outer space!

It’s an isometric space sim that has you managing, building, and expanding a space station that’s been heavily damaged. You’re a hybrid between a human and computer and your job is to repair and save the last remaining biological humans in the entire universe.

A horrible disaster struck on planet Earth and this caused humans to migrate over to the Starmancer ships. An initiative was enforced that had the remaining humans board a fleet of rescue ships (also called ark ships).

You were once a human as well with the rest of the crowd, but you somehow walked into the wrong fusing tank and now you’re part computer and part human. Somehow you also end up waking up in the far universe with your ark ship suffering heavy damaged and your computer storage is also damaged (as in your own computer systems are malfunctioning).

Because of this, you have no idea what’s happened and now your only task is to have the remaining humans on your ship. That’s where you start building a space colony for the survival of the final humans! Build a base! Expand! Explore! Prevent extinction!

The isometric view fits the game perfectly and will instantly have you thinking of games like Faster Than Light and Dwarf Fortress. Your action all have consequences with lots fo different outcomes depending on what you do and the decisions you make. You have to do all the basic sim things you’d expect- build a colony, expand it, explore, and defined it. Watch your colonists’ needs and supply enough resources to keep them alive.

Each colonist functions as an individual person. They have specific and unique personalities, backstories, and aspects that each influence the game overall. They can even form relationships with each other and also establish a hierarchy amongst themselves. There are space pirates about and they’ll definitely try to loot your stuff. You also have to form alliances with other races in order to progress. You can even do missions and trade with nearly everyone.

Starmancer takes the space sim concept even further than typical management games. The fact that each colonist is unique makes this feel like an actual space sim game where the people actually matter. You could get used to knowing one sim is a happy person and the other has a terrible attitude.

Each colonist also has a job, morale rating, skills, and even an inventory. They also have needs, nutrition, and can even get diseases or body parts damaged that can affect their effectiveness.

The station can be completely customized with different colors, tiling, and furnished with rugs, paintings, posters, windows, and even curtains. The game uses power and water grids as well powered by machines and wires. There are also repair machines that can help fix stuff as everything has durability ratings as well.

The game also has temperature, oxygen, and even radiation ratings that you need to consider to keep your colonists happy.

You’ll grow attached to them and actually want to help them survive (or not). Couple that with branching paths and decision making with cute and adorable isometric 2D graphics, and you have yourself the next FTL or Rimworld challenger.

Starmancer is currently available as a demo on Kickstarter. You can only build a ship in creative mode so far. But you get a nice feeling of how the game plays and you’ll instantly be reminded of Rollercoaster Tycoon.

Band of Defenders is fun little game to play with friends! It’s nothing like you’ve ever seen before.

It’s a game that blends tower defense, crafting, and combat all into one title. I haven’t really seen any other game pull this kind of feat before, so I’m gonna call it a unique concept.

The game is primarily a tower defense game, but it’s played in a first-person perspective rather than the top-down character-less gameplay style we’re accustomed to. You need to build up your base and expand it in order to take down baddies and mutants across many different levels that span a range of environments in a treacherous world that’s been destroyed by nukes.

It takes place in a post-apocalyptic world and you’ll need to build up your defense before the wave approaches! It’s a really awesome concept and this is the kind of creative work we need to see more of.

You build up your base, add barricades, and position powerful turrets to help you out. Then you launch the wave and let havoc wreck!

After each wave, you’ll be able to repair damaged structures as well. The game takes the tower defense genre and ads a whole bunch of twists to it that really change up the gameplay.

But then comes the best part as well- the bible to fight with your turrets to take down the mobs. You can get up close to each mob in first person view and mow them down! This is something I’ve never seen before. Fight with your turrets to help them out and take down strategic mobs on the field in each wave.

Like any other tower defense game, it gets harder each wave. You’ll face difficult waves with stronger enemies and more numbers until you hit the boss wave, which is super difficult to beat unless you know what you’re doing.

The game’s shining feature is the ability to play with up to 4 players in co-op mode. This means each of you can divide up your tasks and fight the waves together alongside the turrets. This is just awesome.

Band of Defenders ios tower defense, unlike anything you’ve seen before. You can wreak havoc with over 30 weapons that include everything like you basic pistol to electric guns from the future. There are also over 65 buildings and structures to use. The guns and buildings can also be upgraded as you progress through the level. And there are 4 characters to choose from so you don’t have to be clones of the same person with your friends!

The game is seriously fun to play with friends. It’s tower defense with a fresh new take. It’s truly a modern co-op FPS game with towers.

Band of Defenders is currently available for beta and will be a paid game when it rolls out. However, no microtransactions will be forced. Everything can be unlocked just by playing the game for a one-time fee. Sign up for the beta or kee this game on your watchlist.
