Blow the Hen Down is a comical mischief game where you’re a pirate with too many hens onboard your ship.

So what’s a pirate captain to do? Blow them all down, of course!

You can use cannonballs, bombs, and pick up various objects on the boat. For starters, you can pick up the hens and shove them into the canons as canon fodder. That’s one way to rid ethem.

Another thing you can do is to simply pick up random bombs you have scattered all over our ship and blow them up! But the problem is that they’re hens- they lay EGGS. And the eggs instantly spawn into new hens. So it’s all up to you to see if you can rid your hen infestation before they commandeer your ship and sink your ship!

Store Revolt is a funny little physics-based ragdoll local multiplayer game that’ll give you and your friends some guaranteed laughs!

It’s all about having a good time at the local shopping mall as you load items into your shopping cart while trying to take down your friends’ carts! It’s playable with up to 4 players each with fully customizable skins. You need to put items in your parents’ cart that are worth a lot of cash. The more you grab, the more points you earn. The trick is to get as many valuables into your cart as possible!

You can snag stuff like trophies, trampolines, and tons of other things you wouldn’t expect to fit in a shopping carriage. You can pick up items like bats to knock out your friends temporarily and steal the items they were carrying or throwing them into the cart for huge chunk of points! It’s crazy and makes absolutely no sense- but that’s why it’s fun.

The game supports controllers so no blaming controls as an excuse.

The player with the most valuables into the cart first is declared the ultimate shopper. You’ll have to use items, timing, placement, and physics all at once in order to beat your friends. It ain’t no co-op game- that’s for sure!

Beware is a horror first-person sandbox horror game that has you going through the trails at night while being chased by a few monsters.

The game starts with you sitting in your car alone in a dark park at night. Why are you there exactly? Who knows. It’s dark. You’re alone. Maybe you just like to go around and sit at parks at nighttime. Your ride is pretty old. It’s a beat-down car with some crappy suspension and horrible turning.

The game lets you do what you want. You can drive around the car park and screw around to your liking- run into things, do donuts, drift around the park. Do whatever you want. It’s a horror sandbox, after all.

Then when you leave the park, you’ll find that you’re out in the country roads. You’ll start to get chased by these evil-looking things in a car who want to just kill you by ramming your ride off the road.

Your job is to avoid them for as long as possible.

The game uses a physics engine so there’s no rubber-banding or anything. You have to dodge their pit maneuvers and speed up/slow down in order to avoid their attacks. You’ll see them coming at you in your rearview mirror and every time you see the bright headlights, you’ll get a sense of pure terror.

Beware is freakin’ scary just for that fact. You get the constant chase feeling the whole time. It combines driving, stealth, and horror into one game. It features some detailed graphics and an older audio track that’ll remind of you the early horror movies. This one’s for any horror fan.

Check, Please! is a physics-based dating sim.

As you know, physics-based indie games are hilarious. They’re clumsy, wonky, and pretty ridiculous to play. Now take those clumsy controls and put it dating simulator. You’ve got guaranteed laughs.

This game has you controlling your hand with just the mouse. The LMB lets you grab various objects like wine glasses, forks, knives, spoons, and other things. Of course, it’s not as easy as it is in real life. You’ll knock things over, push wine bottles off the table, and possibly even stab your hot date with a fork. It’s super clumsy and funny to watch as you struggle to perform basic tasks that any girl in real life would probably get a little more surprised over.

The RMB rotates the items.

But it’s okay. Your date is understanding and patient.

But not for long. You need to do it quickly or else the date’s over. And you need to do it as carefully and human-like as you can. Don’t knock stuff over. Don’t slap her with a meatball. Don’t stab her with a spoon.

The game is supposedly complete and you can beat it in just about 10 minutes. There are only a few tasks and the date is very basic at this point.

However, it’s pretty much guaranteed to let you have a good time as you struggle with the most basic tasks and try to keep your date happy. It comes with some decent artwork and a fitting soundtrack that make this the foundation of a perfect game to be a VR candidate in the future.

train_mail is an awesome top-down platformer that has you cruising through tracks at super speeds!

It’s like Sonic and Super Monkey Ball combined into one blender with a dose of steroids. You play as a little train that lost its letters and you’re on a mission to collect them all again.

You race through winding tracks quickly and must control the train without falling off! The game has you trying to reach the end of the level to get letters. Each level is very short and can be completed very quickly. The difficult part is just maneuvering your train and not screwing it up.

The game has its own physics engine so you need to muster up your reflexes and guide the train from falling off the track. It does require some degree of skill in order to play correctly. The pixel art and mix of zany tunes make this one platformer that’s easy to get sucked into. The top-down view is also nice and isn’t often seen in platformers.

If you like trippy arcade platformers that “need to go fast,” you should check out train_mail. It’s a fast-paced platformer that’ll have Super Monkey Ball fans in overdrive because it goes a lot faster. The controls are a bit weird and do take some time to figure out. That’s my only gripe with it. With such a fast-paced game, it needs solid controls. You need a gamepad to play this correctly!

Urban Explorer Golf is a physics-based golf game that takes place in the metro city.

Similar to WHAT THE GOLF?, Urban Explorer Golf is a new take on the old putt-and-green tradition! You don’t need a golf course, nor a putting green, nor even a green to play a nice round of urban golf. The game has you putting your golfball throughout multiple rooms in your skyscraper apartment and office space. The environment is half the fun. It’s super detailed and makes you feel cozy.

Your goal is to hit your ball through many common obstacles in order to get it into the hole. You’ll need to hit the ball at the right angle and strength (kinda like Angry Birds) in order to get it to fly over or under desks, tables, boxes, ceiling, doorframes, and a lot more everyday objects you’d never think about trying to get a golf ball through.

Each level has a variety of obstacles you’ll need to golf around and can take quite a while. You can change your ball type in order to facilitate your trajectory. Some balls have different properties compared to others (well, they all do).

You can use a tennis ball which flies super far, or a balloon for shorter distances. There’s also a bowling ball which is used to break through obstacles and a football for distance and damage. You can swap balls and you’ll have to adjust accordingly depending on the layout of the course! There are 4 different types for different situations.

The game also has boss fights as well. It combines exploration via golfing on over 70 levels. The levels are nearly completely destructible and everything you destroy grants you cash to unlock skins and more levels.

The game will eventually also have a multiplayer mode with a matchmaking system as well. You can play against friends and whoever gets the ball in the goal first wins the game. This feature will be awesome. You can also select from a variety of environments like on a rooftop, space, underwater, wild west, or even in a horror land.

As with any physics-based game, it’s guaranteed to offer a good time. It takes a relaxed and chill approach to the concept of golf and simulates how it would be like to play golf in your own office or apartment without breaking anything.

The game is funny with a tongue-in-cheek kind of humor. The enviornment is comical and the art style is simple. It’s very entertaning to see all the creative work and detail that went into this golf sim. It the kind of game you’ll take a “swing” at and not know what just happened- kind of like Happy Wheels. Give it a try. You’ll get a few chuckles. You’ll smile a bit. You’ll have a good time.

WHAT THE GOLF? Is an awesome golfing simulator game that’s completely physics-based (which ensures a good laugh).

You play as a bratty little golfer (complete with hat and golfing tee) and your only goal is to play a game of golf. Sound easy (and boring), right?

But then throw in some other golfers, golfing equipment, golf clubs, golf balls, soccer balls, moving 18-wheelers, deserts, mountains, and some bombs, and then your game gets a little more interesting!

It’s a new twist on the classic ball-on-green game. Every single level is different and even more random from the last. The goal is the same though- hit your “golfball” into the “hole.” Your “ball” can be anything from a typical golf ball to a soccer ball to your golf club. The “hole” can be anything from a literal hole in the ground to a soccer net to a moving trailer truck. It’s the most random game of “golfing” I’ve ever played.

You can use literally anything you see as a golfball, from people to boxes to a golf clubhouse itself.

The game has a few different “golf courses” filled with random objects and twists that you’d never expect. Some levels are straight from popular games like Clustertruck and SUPERHOT as well. The environments are also completely destructible and can be destroyed simply by ramming your “ball” into them (or yourself). They’re also very weird and have some creepy animations- there are giant toasters that actually make toast. This game is like nothing you’ve seen before.

WHAT THE GOLF? Is still in a prototype demo, but it already shows a lot of promise with its craziness and off-the-course randomness. I can see anyone getting into this game even if they hate golf. Just the novelty of it makes it entertaining and worth a play through. This is creativity. This is what the world needs.

Jelly Mario is a hilarious physics-based Mario game that takes a whole unique twist on the classic, legendary games from the NES era.

As soon as you launch the game, you’ll see the familiar Super Mario Bros title screen. Ah, that gold and bronze plaque- so many memories.

But those memories will quickly get distorted when you notice that Mario and the entire world is made of this hazy, jelly-like gas substance.

That’s the twist.

The whole game world is made of this deformable jelly and Mario himself floats around in it like a jellyfish. He can “push” other objects out of the way like pipes, coin blocks, and even characters at the title screen.

Mario can float around the level and spin in a 2D plane as you ram into familiar objects. When he touches them, they bend and twist like jelly. Everything is jelly. It’s like if you’re playing an underwater world and you’re swimming in jelly in a jelly world.

But that’s not to say about the enemies. You’ll encounter familiar foes like Koopas and such. If you hit one, you’ll shatter into dozens of pieces of what was once the plumber hero (and so will the enemy). You can only control yourself by jumping and moving in one direction. The items and coins aren’t collectible, but you can still bump into them and watch them bend into jelly. There is a small physics engine at play.

The game is certainly one of the weirdest spins on the Mario series I’ve come across. Sure, there was Cat Mario and the slew of clones, but those were all just trolly and difficult renditions of the game. Everything else from Rambo Mario to Sonic Mario to all the characters that replace Mario in this legendary classic don’t come close to Jelly Mario in terms of weird Mario games.

this game lets you play through the infamous World 1-1 in the original Super Mario Bros on the NES back in 1985- which is regarded to be the best Mario games of all time by old-school gamers.

Fishing Planet is a fishing simulator (there seem to be a lot of these popping up as of recent) that focuses on realism and quality gameplay.

It’s a game that’s actually developed by fishing enthusiasts as claimed by the developers and its goal is to “bring you the full thrill of actual angling.”

And they do it right.

The game is highly polished and the graphics don’t lie. They look almost photorealistic. Even though none of us here are real fishing fanatics, the game’s graphics are appealing enough to interest any amateur fisher. Everything from the whole casting to reeling process is detailed and realistic. It’s fun enough to play instead of actually going fishing. And you can even play with friends.

The game features a physics system as well with aero/hydrodynamics. Each fish has its own unique behavior patterns and AI. The tackle behavior is also mild to crazy. You’ll be surprised at all the different ways fish react to getting caught.

Fishing Planet is on a level of realism that’s almost like real life. It claims that you can improve your actual skills in person by playing this game. That’s how daring it is.

There are a total of 12 different environments you can fish in with full weather and day/night cycles. Everything from seasons to weather changes how you catch fish. Even the ripples and surface agitation changes.

You can also choose from a TON of tackle combinations that are all unique in physics and performance. Your rod, lines, and reels break based on their own characteristics.

It sports amazing graphics, AI, and physics. They work together nearly flawlessly to provide total immersion.

If you like fishing, you need to try it out. Even if you don’t like fishing, it’s still fun to mess around in it and see what you can catch. Play it with friends online or fly solo.

There’s even a tourney for the best.

Stormworks: Build and Rescue is an awesome physics-based indie game where you have the freedom to build and ride any vehicle you can imagine.

The game has a goal though. It’s kinda like Goat Simulator or Garry’s Mod. You’re in ownership of a coastguard station that builds all kinds of vehicles and you need to save people. You can build airplanes, boats, and land transport, so you have all three bases covered.

What’s the point of these vehicles? And why are you building them?

You need to them to take on different scenarios that occur in the ocean. You have to construct a vehicle that can handle stormy weather and other nasties that take place on the ocean. The type of vehicle you build completely changes how you play the game.

For example, each vehicle you build has its own buoyancy and handling rating. Even stability is a factor. If you build something that doesn’t float, it’ll sink. If you build something that can’t handle, you’ll drift like crazy. If you build something that’s not stable, it’ll sink. How you build your transport vehicle directly affects your mission success rate percentage. You’ll need to find a balance between all three factors so you can beat each scenario. And they’re pretty difficult at that.

After you’re done building your vehicle of choice, it’s time to take it out for a spin. You’ll then need to pilot it out into the danger of the ocean. You have rescue missions in many different environments. You have people to save in the sea, ocean, islands, oil rigs, and even more. Piloting is pretty difficult too. You need to build a vehicle that hands very well in order to successfully complete the challenge.

The game also has a variety of weather patterns. This includes rain, storms, winds, waves, and even tsunamis. Stormworks: Build and Rescue even has a full day and night cycle. The weather changes dynamically and is pretty unpredictable. So it’s best to build something that’ll handle any weather scenario if possible. Or perhaps suited for that specific challenge.

It’s a pretty difficult game. Sure, it’s a sandbox physics game. A lot of these types of games are just to mess around in with no real difficulty or objective to compete.

However, this game takes the genre to a new level. It actually takes advantage of the psychic engine and combines objective-based gameplay with it. Now you can mess around with a purpose.

Stormworks: Build and Rescue utilizes a low-poly resolution like many sandbox games. It’s being developed by Sunfire and published by Green Man Gaming Studios. It looks like a very big and promising game.

It’s a challenging and entertaining physics game that’s more than a sandbox. The game is available for alpha testing via sign up. Use the links below to get a key.
