Claws of Furry is an awesome little sidscroller beat ’em up game with rogue-like elements.
You play as a Ninja Cat who’s fighting for freedom through a whopping total of 50 levels. The game plays like a sidscroller with rogue-like playstyle, but it’s not. Your character has a persistent skillset that you unlock as you level up. There are over 40 total skills to be unlocked. When you build a new character, the previous skills transfer over so you’re not totally starting over. Your character gets stronger every time you play through the game.
The game offers different modes as well. You can play the main story (rogue-like) or you can play an Arena mode. It has that sidescroller mindless beat ’em up feeling with its throwback retro graphics, awesome sound effects, and a catchy background jukebox.
If you’re really not a fan of rogue-like games, you can play in “Pussycat” mode, which offers checkpoints like a basic adventure game.
Claws of Furry isn’t an easy game. There’s plenty of trial-and-error you need to experiment with to beat each level. You also need sharp reflexes and quick thinking to get through as well.
But that’s not be feared…why?
Because the game has a co-op mode with up to four friends.
