Make ‘Em Pay is a funny little chaotic multiplayer game where you need to party it up in a series of “find me” minigames.

It’s pretty difficult to explain, but it’s like a combo of Mario Party and pure nonsense. It’s a game that features different ways to have fun with your friends, but only one of you will be the one that makes ’em all pay!

The game is basically a “where’s Waldo” game where you need to find the other players in the crowd and make them pay their bill before the timer runs out. Each player needs to do their best to blend in with the NPCs and act like a generic character until the time runs out. If you get caught, you’re out!

The game features a variety of maps like a dark vampire hunter scene, a nature scene, and even some desert scene. It’s like a Mario Party game with Miis or something. Just get some friends and play it. You’ll understand.

You can play with up to four players each using a gamepad and the keyboard.

Store Revolt is a funny little physics-based ragdoll local multiplayer game that’ll give you and your friends some guaranteed laughs!

It’s all about having a good time at the local shopping mall as you load items into your shopping cart while trying to take down your friends’ carts! It’s playable with up to 4 players each with fully customizable skins. You need to put items in your parents’ cart that are worth a lot of cash. The more you grab, the more points you earn. The trick is to get as many valuables into your cart as possible!

You can snag stuff like trophies, trampolines, and tons of other things you wouldn’t expect to fit in a shopping carriage. You can pick up items like bats to knock out your friends temporarily and steal the items they were carrying or throwing them into the cart for huge chunk of points! It’s crazy and makes absolutely no sense- but that’s why it’s fun.

The game supports controllers so no blaming controls as an excuse.

The player with the most valuables into the cart first is declared the ultimate shopper. You’ll have to use items, timing, placement, and physics all at once in order to beat your friends. It ain’t no co-op game- that’s for sure!

Dungeons of Tal’Doria is an awesome dungeon crawler that you can play with friends!

It’s a co-op sandbox exploration game that plays like old-school Diablo. You pick a class (Knight, Archer, or Mage) and explore a randomly-generated dungeon full of archer skeletons, evil wizards, and even some epic bosses!

The game features an infinite world so it’s never the same game. Think Minecraft. The game uses the same blocky voxel-style graphics with the same concept of world generation. It’s endless exploration. You can traverse through unique biomes each filled with numerous enemies and take them down with your weapon of choice. There’s loot to collect, pets to train, and skills to learn and level up! It’s like if Diablo and Minecraft had a baby together and it was born into a blocky world.

You can do everything from crafting items, learning special professions, and even take a break and go fishing to relax!

The current build of Dungeons of Tal’Doria limits you to small biomes and a level cap of 6. Later builds will have a skill system and multiplayer as well- which is probably the best part of the game.

Exploring the game, slaying monsters, and getting epic loot is okay by yourself. But with a group of friends. It’s even better (well, maybe except for the looting part).

Murderous Pursuits is a unique Victorian-era multiplayer stealth-em-up game where you need to hunt and kill your target before you get killed yourself- and avoid any witnesses.

It’s a game that involves stealth and strategy into one awesome experience. A man named Mr. X invites you and others to sneak and kill each other on a giant ship.

The game is developed by some of the same people who made The Ship and Thie Ship: Remastered. It’s a stealth game that has you trying to camouflage yourself on a giant ship and take out key targets without being discovered! You’re up against 7 other human players all aboard the HMCS Britannic and your only mission is to kill the others.

You can choose from 8 playable characters. You customize the skin and such so you can blend in with the crowd.

But it’s not that easy. You need to act like a regular passenger and avoid revealing yourself.

Pick a target. Find them. And kill them.

While being a target at the same time.

That’s right. The game has you sneaking around the ship looking for your targets. But as you watch and stalk your target, someone could very well be watching you as well. You need to blend in with the NPC passengers on the ship, the environment, and sometimes the other players in order to not get discovered and killed first! It’s a concept that’s only been done a few times, but it’s usually not done with this level of detail.

The game allows you to use the entire ship to your advantage. You’re free to walk anywhere on the ship and utilize everything you can to not be the odd man out. You need to do your best to blend in with the rest of the sheep or risk getting killed. The ship hides a lot of loot you can use as well. You’ll need everything you can because you don’t know how skilled the other players are and what they’re thinking. The game has four different locations on the colonial ship, such as a Music Hall or Engine House.

It’s like a mental game of chess on a boat with special abilities, a hitlist, and lots of lethal assassins.

You need to stay undercover until you’re sure you can kill your target without getting killed yourself. It’s all about watching, stalking, and thinking like a hawk/fox hybrid! You need to use a blend of strategy and stealth in order to successfully take out your chosen killers. Running and gunning probably won’t work.

Murderous Pursuits also gives you some skills and abilities to aid you in the process. There are a total of five, but you can only use two per match. You can disguise yourself to pose as just another NPC. You can also counter and flash the other players to escape or trick them.

The game features both solo offline play or online play with 8 players. You can customize the game options and even add bots if needed. Murderous Pursuits is a very interesting game that looks like a blast to play. You can sign up for the beta using the link below to get into the arena first for a “killer” time!

HVNTRS is an awesome retro co-op roguelike dungeon-crawler that takes place in a post-apocalyptic world (is that the trend nowadays?).

The story, in a nutshell, is that the Hellbeatss have broken loose and these monsters turn human men into monsters as well- kind of like a zombie infection. Half of humanity has already been transformed into these vampiric creatures.

Now, there’s only a small group of stronghold shelters to save the remaining humans from the scavenging beasts. And there’s even smaller few who want to take the reigns and control the survival of humanity for just another day.

They’re the Hellbeast and Vampire Neutralization and Tactical Removal Squad- the HVNTRS! (That’s you.)

Team up with up to 3 of your friends and play through this roguelike dungeon-crawler together with local couch co-op multiplayer. The game takes perspective in a top-down view with nonstop monster-bashing action. It’s like a very simple and basic retro version of The Binding of Isaac or Gauntlet or something. But the game takes place in a turn-based strategy fashion. It’s very interesting.

The game has you attacking enemies by “bumping” into them. You’ll automatically attack using whatever item is your primary equip. If you have a melee item, you can attack in a specific direction by holding the item hotkey. If you just press the key, you’ll “queue” the item to be used. When an item is used, it automatically becomes your primary main-hand item. It’s kinda confusing, but you get used to it quickly. It reminds me of older cabinet arcade games. The control scheme is similar.

You can also lob projectiles as well by pressing the “throw” key. This is useful for mobs of monsters that you know is suicide if you get up close and personal, or if you prefer to keep some distance.

You can also find items all over the map that you can use to quickly swap out your current item. They each have different advances and using the right weapon at the right time is crucial.

So you select your weapon, attack, and direction. And then you make your move. You need to work strategically with your friends in order to progress. Team up on the same enemy to take it down quickly (priority threats) or strategically position yourself to take care of another enemy. Or do something else altogether. It’s like if Baldur’s Gate were turn-based.

The game has tons of items to use, each that grants stats (or takes them away) like robes, daggers, armor, etc. You’ll have to position yourself and play the right role according to your equips.

You play with your friends and queue up at the same time. If one of you goes outside of the screen, the game will assume that person has been queued. Once all players are done selecting their queues, the game will progress.

The only goal is to make it to the end of the dungeon and kill the Hellbeast. That’s it. But it’s a lot more difficult than that. You’ll have to work cooperatively with your friends in order to get past the treacherous dungeon first!

HVNTRS is an awesome indie dungeon-crawler with gorgeous artwork. The art is super simple, but very immersive o the point where you have to use your imagination to see what’s going on. It’s basic, but very effective. The strategic gameplay is a nice touch that makes it stand out from run and gun dungeon-crawlers. If you like strategy games, HVNTRS is a must play. Gather 3 of your Hellbeast-slaying friends save what’s left of humanity!

We love you, Robo-dad!, is a funny and cute little dad simulator.

You play as a robotic dad in a QWOP-style format. You’re nothing but a robotic arm and your only goal is to be the best robotic arm dad possible!

Since the game plays with QWOP controls, it’s not going to be easy (let alone you’re just an arm). You’ll clumsily attempt to do dad-like things as a single dad arm. As an arm, you have the ability to pick things up and grab things (you have a fork attached to your arm using a thread of wires).

The game is a short little story with each section of the game showing off a different dad activity you want do, such as going into your new house, feeding your kid, and even signing the adoption certificate to adopt said kid! It’s like going through the different phases of being a dad as just a robotic arm.

The best part about it is that it’s playable with a friend in multiplayer co-op. It’s like two-player QWOP. You’d think adding a second player would make it more difficult, but it’s actually a lot easier. One player controls the arm, and the other controls the claw and the extension of the arm. That’s difficult for one person. It’s a lot more fun and easier with two players, so bring a friend into dadhood with you!

We love you, Robo-dad! is a short and sweet story that’s sure to please even if you’re super frustrated and pissed off with the QWOP controls. You’ll laugh. You’ll rage. You’ll do both simultaneously. Just because of the fact that you’re an arm trying to be a dad is enough to keep you attempting to push through the challenges of controlling it. You’ll likely get upset and frustrated at the controls, but at the same time, you’ll like the fact that you’re trying to raise a child- I mean, it’s gotta be easier than being a real dad, right?

Try out We love you, Robo-dad!. It was a game built for the Global Game Jam 2018 and it’s worth cehcking out just because of its charm!

VolleyShot is a super fast-paced game that combines both FPS and volleyball into one weird mashup.

You start out in volleyball-style rounds using two weapons- a primary and secondary weapon. Your primary weapon is a long shot (what you’ll be using most of the time) and your secondary gun is your “set” maneuver like in real volleyball. You’ll have to use both in order to beat your opponent. The secondary “set” is much more useful for feigning or using strategy to outplay your opponent!

A team can earn points by either having the ball touch the surface on the opposite team or when the timer runs out. There’s a “return timer” that keeps track of how long the enemy has the ball. If they keep it for too long, they forfeit it and your team earns a point. They have 15 seconds to make up their mind and gun the ball back over the net.

The game feels like a weird mod of an FPS game that seems familiar, but you can’t quite put your finger on it. The graphics and artwork are realistic and feature giant worlds where you’re just a small figurine playing volleyball in a house and such. But that’s just one court. There’s also a school gym and some spaceship. It’s a pretty eerie feeling but at the same time, it’s freakin’ volleyball with guns. What do you expect?

It plays like a typical volleyball game. You have teammates and you’re against a bunch of other players. You use your guns to shoot the ball in order to get it moving. It’s volleyball. It’s FPS. It’s VolleyShot.

The mechanics are just like any FPS game out there. You shoot using the long or set shot in order to score points. The long shot is useful because you can make it bounce off walls until the bullet hits the ball. But you can’t time it to go too far because it disappears after a few seconds. You have to be able to predict the path of the ball in order to master this shot. It gives the ball energy.

The set shot is used for quick shots to outplay the enemy. You can use it raise the ball and also stop fast-moving balls as well. It can also be used to save the ball from hitting the floor or even shooting it into the air to set up a spike! It takes away energy from the ball so you have to use it at the right time.

You’ll have to combine both to master the game.

To add another dimension, you can also jump as well. If you’re in low gravity, you can jump off the ceiling. If you’re in normal gravity, you can jump off walls. Imagine saving a shot just by bouncing off the walls. Or jumping on the wall to spike the ball. That’s pretty cool, right?

The game features different modes, however, the main mode is simply volleyball.  The game is currently offered in a demo and you can play 3 modes: Score, Time, and Practice Mode. Score is the standard game. Time runs on a timer. And practice is practice. Score Mode will be the main game for all intents and purposes so far. But later on, there are plans for a ladder, ranked games, couch multiplayer, online games, and multiple courts. You’ll also be able to change gravity settings, ball types, and even ball speed which makes a huge impact on the pace of the game.

You can also choose from three different ball sizes as well, but I didn’t notice a major difference. Gravity has five different settings and completely changes the gameplay style. You can choose fine-tuned gravity settings based on five entities in the Milky Way.

Overall, VolleyShot is a crazy new concept and looks like it has a ton of potential to be a hit game. It’s right up there in weirdness with Rocket League. These games can quickly snowball if word spreads. And that’s what we’re doing here. VolleyShot is a game worth checking out. It’ll eventually have local split-screen multiplayer and online play as well.

Update: The demo version does have multiplayer. I don’t know how I missed that.

Twin Sprouts is a fun little multiplayer gardening competition.

It’s a game where you and a friend need to compete to see who can grow the best garden and be the master gardener once and for all (until you play your next game)!

It’s a 3D platformer game where you need to grow plants by planting seeds and treating them with TLC. Doing so will help your plants produce some “joy orbs” which increase your score. The player with the best score at the end wins the game!

The game starts you both off on a remote island filled with trees, platforms, hills, and smaller islands. You need to scavenge it for seeds. Once you get seeds, you plant them in available soil patches. Then you collect “sun” (like Plants vs. Zombies) and water orbs. You place the orbs to feed the plant. Then the plant becomes happy and produces joy orbs. Collect the orbs and you get points. Get points and beat your friend.

But beware, there’s also a twist- your friend can steal your joy orbs as well. So you need to constantly watch the score tallies and do what you can to stay ahead.

Twin Sprouts offers local split-screen horizontal multiplayer. You can play with a friend using Xbox One controllers or keyboard/mouse for one player and the other on a controller or gamepad. The game is like a giant minigame packed into a 3D world with mild platforming elements. You can jump, glide, and run around, but besides that, it’s all about planting plants, tending to them, and getting joy orbs.

The game is actually pretty entertaining even with such a simple concept and the ability to play it with a keyboard and mouse is awesome if you don’t have controllers. You’ll need a big screen though- unless you don’t mind your horizontal view turning into portrait (lesson learned). It’s seriously addicting.

Good Company is a next-level management sim that’s all about creating, building, expanding, and optimizing a world of robot automation manufacturing.

The game has the standard top-down isometric perspective with complete 3D graphics that are colorful and appealing. Just look at the screenshots.

As you know, computer automation is a pretty big thing right now. It’s only appropriate that a team of devs go about and make a game about it!

Good Company starts you off in an 80’s-style world where you only have a modest office space. From there, you build, invest in new technology, hire staff, and start to produce machinery. Over time, you’ll hire more employees and optimize your processes and build innovative new robots to tempt the crowds. That’s the main focus of the game- you’re a machinery tycoon and this is a corporate machinery simulator!

You build robots with AI that are advanced that eventually, you’ll have to replace your own workers (is this a foresight of the future?). You can choose to replace all of them for better efficiency and lower cost of operations, or you can be sympathetic and only replace a few. The choice is yours. In fact, all the choice s you make in this game affect the outcome of your business.

You’re the CEO and you’re in the middle of the action. Your choices affect the outcomes of everything your business and employees. You can have each employee learn tasks or you can design robots to do those tasks. You can build robots to help global needs and demands and have your profits soar. You can optimize processes that are inefficient to increase productivity (perfect for technical players).

The game takes it even further and has you trading stocks and practicing marketing as well and compete against rival corporations- they may even try to steal your IP.

Do you want to be a greedy robotic tycoon and rake in the cash? Go for it. Or how about being the compassionate and kind CEO that does it for the people? You can do that too. In fact, the game has an emphasis on the balance between the whole robotic workers vs. human workers argument and you’ll have to decide which path you want to go. You have a reputation to cater to as well as the role of being a boss- and a corporation as well.

The best part about Good Company is that it allows for both single and multiplayer co-op as well. I’m not sure how exactly the multiplayer would work since there can only be a single CEO, but it’ll be interesting to find out. This is the kind of business management game I’d play. The artwork looks adorable and appealing. The game is colorful with a touch of casual play but has a very deep technical side to it as well. It looks like it’s easy to get into yet difficult to master.

Good Company is a corporate sim that I’ll be watching. It’s available for early access signup if you submit your email to be informed. Be one of the first to play this next-level business management sim!

Flashing Lights is an awesome unique concept I haven’t come across before.

It’s a city simulator where you play the role of emergency services like police officers, firefighters, and even paramedics in a huge GTA-like city.

It’s an online persistent open-world game that’s best played with other players, but the game also has an offline single-player mode as well. You get to choose whether you want to be a crime-stopping policeman, a life-saving paramedic, or a fire-extinguishing firefighter.

Each “department” has its equipment that’s yours to use! You can use vehicles like fire trucks, ambulances, and police cruisers. You also have their own assorted items and equips to use. It’s pretty much like what you’d expect in real life. Each department has their own sort of arsenal for you to use and do your job.

Yes, you have a job. You have to fulfill your responsibilities and playing online means you get to help (and be helped) by other players.

Of course, some tasks are easier than others. you’ll be doing stuff like writing parking tickets for violations, chasing speeding criminals, and even checking speeds of vehicles. The game is something I’ve never seen before and looks like a very interesting game.

Sometimes you’ll have to combine different departments together in order to take care of emergencies that arise. That means you’ll have to combine forces with the other players in order to work together. You could be playing as the police and take down some criminals in a high-speed chase while the firefighters take care of fires that are caused by their arson and the ambulance is there to help injured pedestrians.

You may have to divide your first responder force among the three forces which is where your friends will come n to help!

Flashing Lights is basically like GTA but with a twist. The game is focused on helping the people rather than causing destruction. It’s a fireman, policeman, and ambulance simulator. The game is all about being the best-employed hero you can be!

The world is a thriving and bustling city and it’s a huge open world. It’s huge and offers plenty of things to do. You can sign up for the alpha right now using the link below. It’s an online open-world game that’s awesome in terms of the concept. It’s gonna be interesting to see how this game turns out.
